Uriel's Message -On Being Humble
The quality of humility is necessary for
mastery and allows your humanity to ascend into its divinity. It is by being humble that you allow your soul's voice to guide
your life journey and enable the Source connection that is necessary to move beyond the third dimension. Yet this is such
a misunderstood principle and you feel that if you are humble then you must acknowledge your imperfection and unworthiness,
deny your power and wait for guidance instead of moving forward through intention. The ego limits the expression of humility
which it perceives as being the final step in its destruction. For the ego, to be humble is to be denied its power.
Humility that is centered within the ego becomes
humiliation, where the ego is limited or eliminated. The ego is a necessary component of your wholeness in body, mind, emotions
and spirit. It is not possible to limit one of your aspects and still be whole. The ego needs to participate in your life
journey but in balance with spirit and not ahead of or behind it. If the ego is not given its voice it will challenge humility
and become arrogant. It is possible to be both humble and powerful, when humility emanates from the soul’s awareness
of the divine within.
When the ego is in its arrogance energy, it
seeks to dominate and control. In this aspect it acts from its power instead of being in its power. It takes over and
becomes demanding, instead of being in the flow and commanding within intention that is balanced with spirit. The ego’s
definition of humility is to be humbled, to be cast down, set apart, limited and humiliated. It is the ego’s fear of
being separated from its identity that allows it to insist on being the leading voice and presence in your reality. And as
acknowledge and accept your power, you give the ego an equal voice in your life’s unfolding journey, that is balanced
with spirit and fully in the divine ego/spirit partnership. Then humility can be applied and the ego understands that by being
humble it surrenders to spirit.
The humble are the most powerful among you.
They do not fear losing power, they are not arrogant or controlling, they do not need to dominate because their ego is balanced
with spirit. The master accepts humility within the context of receiving guidance from spirit, seeking enlightenment and surrendering
human will to divine Will. Being humble affirms your power and transforms your path as you embrace the unlimited potential
of your highest aspects. When you know that your greatest power emanates from humility, from being humble and surrendering
to divine Will, your life path unfolds to express ideas and potential the ego cannot begin to imagine. Be humble, surrender
to divine Will, allow the ego to find peace in spirit and your humility will help you create the powerful reality, abundant
blessings, love and joy that is your soul’s gift to you.

Archangel Michael: Where Are You on
the Path of Ascension?

Beloved masters, it is time to acknowledge and
claim ownership of your Core Essence, your true identity. You are
not just a male or female human Being residing on the planet Earth. You are not just a Soul within a physical body with
many facets of your Higher Self scattered throughout this universe. You are of royal lineage, my friends, with
ancestors of great renown. You are the StarSeed, the Wayshowers from the far reaches of the Omniverse, who were sent forth
on a special mission that is rapidly coming to a culmination. You know who you are, for we have often spoken of this in the
past. We do not want you to get the idea that you are "better or more than" the rest of humanity; however, those of
you who have been reading our messages and applying our teachings are now ready to step to the fore and share your wisdom
with those on the path behind you. You do not have to become formal teachers and hold classes, even though this is a great
and worthy calling if you have the desire to do so.
The different levels of consciousness the human
species have experienced since first embodying on planet Earth are: animal/human nature; human/human nature; human/Spiritual
nature and Spiritual/human nature. We will focus only on the human/Spiritual nature and the Spiritual/Human nature at this
time.
Developing Your Spiritual/Human
Nature:
• First, as a
transducer and Bearer of Divine Light, you are to magnetize to you and radiate from your Sacred Heart center as much Creator
Light as humanly possible.
• Secondly,
you must strive to become a living example of how a Self-master functions within any environment and situation. You
must live your truth as it has been revealed to you.
• Third, you are
to share your wisdom with others when appropriate, and you must also know when to be silent.
Greater and greater numbers of brave Souls are
well on the way to Self-mastery easily flowing with the currents of the higher fourth-/ lower fifth-dimensional energy,
while learning to use their creative gifts in ways never before believed possible. You, the Legions of Light, are breaking
down old barriers and structures that have held humanity in a limited, restricted reality for many thousands of years. You
now have a better understanding of yourselves and those around you as you traverse the energy waves of interactive response,
gleaning wisdom and awareness as to what is in or out of harmony. Many of you are amazed at what is now being presented to
you via the mirroring process as your reflection softens into a more loving and gentle image.
There has been some confusion as to the difference
between the World Pyramid and
the World Server Pyramid.
The World Pyramid is available to every Soul
on Earth. Any person who feels altruistic love for another, without conditions, has a permanent Etheric Replica within the
World Pyramid. The World Pyramid has been created for all humanity so that anyone who wishes to go there to commune
with our Father/Mother God, the great Beings of Light and the angelic forces may do so. It is a place to express gratitude
and to pay homage to our God Parents, the Supreme Creator, and the mighty forces of the heavenly realms. It is a sacred place
of the highest form, and all who wish to experience the bliss of Oneness and share their spiritual abundance and Sacred Love
are assured a place there. You could call it a great Cathedral in the Sky, for in the future it will take the place
of many houses of worship as the world’s religions begin to accept the advanced wisdom teachings mandated by our Father/Mother
God. However, in order to become an active member within the ranks of World Servers and gain entrance into the World Server Pyramid, you must have firmly integrated the balanced frequencies
of the higher planes of the fourth dimension. You must also begin the process of integrating an even higher frequency formula
consisting of a variety of fifth-dimensional energies. You must be centered within the Sacred Heart so that you have
gained access to the inflow of Adamantine Particles of Creator Light. When your SOUL SONG is attuned to frequencies outlined
above, you automatically gain entrance into the World Server Pyramid, which is positioned in the highest planes of the Fifth
Dimension. World Servers are also the intermediaries between the Spiritual Hierarchy and humanity.
As a World Server you must always remember that
each person is on his/her own special path of ascension and he/she will make the journey in their own time and in their own
way. You must always remain empathic to those who are traversing the turbulent valleys of the shadowlands; however,
you must not get entangled in the ongoing dramas within the illusional world of the lower densities. It is vastly important
that you view all that is occurring around you from a higher vantage point so that you may remain centered within your Sacred
Heart, for this is your point of power. We will refresh your memory with some of the basic teachings so that you will be able
to share this knowledge with those who wish to share your Light and your wisdom.
Developing Your Human/Spiritual
Nature:
You must honor your uniqueness and the specific
design and structure of your bodily form as well as the mental and emotional nature that you chose to experience in this lifetime.
Your gender, race, culture and family lineage, along with the basic overall circumstance, were all programmed to give you
the best opportunity to face your challenges, develop your talents and return to a harmonious state of Being, so that you
can reclaim Self-mastery.
People living in a third- and lower fourth-dimensional
reality exist within a vortex of unseen energies; however, these powerful, lower frequency patterns are as real as the air
you breathe. Voicing irritation or angry thoughts in forceful, loud tones draws forth lower astral plane substance,
a swirling mass of distorted, chaotic energy. It is vitally important that you monitor and control your thought patterns
so that you may exist in a balanced force field of loving, empowering and beneficial thought forms, instead of a whirlpool
of negative, distorted, chaotic energy.
First comes the purification stage of the ascension
process. It is like awakening from a dream into a conscious state of awareness. You begin to see things differently,
and a Divine discontent and some seed thoughts begin to filter into your mind. Over time, a powerful source of energy begins
to flow through you, bringing forth new ideas and a desire to improve many areas of your life. Also, your heart begins to
pulsate with new feelings, more compassion and sensitivity to those with whom you interact on a daily basis. You also
begin to feel a yearning for something that you cannot identify.
In the beginning process of expansion of consciousness,
your narrow-focused life will change dramatically. Your Soul Self will gradually become the director and overseer of your
life; however, the ego desire body will not easily give up the dominance it has had on your mental and emotional natures for
a very long time.
As you progress in conscious awareness, prayer
evolves into active and passive meditation. Affirmations and mantras are ways of talking to our Father/Mother God and
the Beings of Light. Meditation or Sacred silence is listening for an answer. Over time, the desires of the ego will
gradually be replaced by Soul-focused mental aspirations. You must follow the dictates of your Soul and become attuned
to the whispers and nudgings of your Higher Self.
You must traverse the shadowlands of the lower
astral planes and face all the negative illusions you have created: fear, guilt, shame, unworthiness, abandonment and a fatalistic
sense of despair. Gradually, you will gain the assurance that if you face these negative thought forms head-on, there
is nothing to fear. You will begin living a dual awareness of Self whereby you will gradually tap into the higher astral plane
levels of the fourth dimension and the lower mental planes of the fifth dimension. You will slowly harmonize and integrate
your emotional and mental natures so that you may then move on to the process of attaining a “harmonious oneness with
the many facets of your human Self.” When this has been accomplished, you are ready for the process of integration
with the multiple facets of your Higher Self.
If you continue to heed the call, you will develop
a desire to understand the meaning of life and what your higher purpose is beyond your limited, mundane world of existence.
Suddenly, the activities and the people you previously interacted with no longer seem to bring a sense of satisfaction and
pleasure as in the past. The undercurrent of Divine discontent begins to grow stronger within your mind and also takes precedence
within your emotional nature. Your desire for spiritual knowledge grows stronger, along with the need to understand
what is happening to you. It is as if the blinders have been removed from your eyes and you have become an alien in
a strange land. Perhaps you have no one you can confide in, and you begin to feel isolated and alone.
Until you have opened the lines of communication
and gained access to the wisdom of your Soul-self, your solar plexus functions as your radiating energy center on the physical
plane. It is also a part of the physical emotional center. As your Soul Self becomes the over-Lighting influence in
your life, you will gradually gain access to your Sacred Heart and your Sacred Mind centers. As a result, your solar plexus
is gradually integrated into what we call the “Solar Power Center,” which consists of the solar plexus,
the heart, thymus and throat. Thereafter, your Sacred Heart will be your Center of Power, for you will have a constant flow
of Adamantine Particles of Life flowing through your Sacred Heart center, throughout your physical form and then out into
the world. You will also find solace, strength and compassion within the inner sanctum of the Sacred Heart.
You must create a solid foundation in order
to effectively change yourself and your personal world for the better. You must strive to access the wisdom of your
higher mental body in order to gain an understanding of the universal laws and the workings of the cosmos. This is a
vital step in the process of becoming an initiate on the Path of ascension if you are to successfully complete the process
of releasing old, limiting, dis-empowering beliefs so that they may be replaced with the en-Lighten-ed concepts of Self-mastery.
As you integrate these new, more refined beliefs and habits, they will expand into a new philosophy of life, that of a compassionate
Self-master. You will then be ready to share your newly gained wisdom with those around you. In essence, you will be
attending an inner-focused, cosmic university whereby you must first understand, integrate and perfect each level of consciousness
before you are allowed to move to the next higher level of en-Lighten-ment and empowerment.
It is advisable to prioritize the changes you
wish to make in your inner and outer reality. Endeavoring to make too many radical changes at once will create too much
chaos and discomfort. This is the reason why so many people fall by the wayside and go back to their old “ways of Being,”
no matter how painful and dissatisfying they may be. It is important that you identify the primal instincts and
habits that you have brought with you into this lifetime or that you have accepted as your truth over the years. You
must walk through the Labyrinth of Limitation created
by walls of distorted beliefs and negative vibrational patterns. Hate and fear are the lowest frequencies of energy.
Withdraw your energy from the shadowlands and focus your mind and all your Beingness on the Light. The darkness cannot
grow or continue to exist without the vibrations of hate, greed, judgment and self-service through a desire to control and
to conquer.
The parable or the concept of “being born
again,” which was taught by the Master Jesus, really meant that every person on Earth must go through the process
of removing the veil of ignorance and limitation through conscious effort in order to reclaim his/her God-given status
as a spiritual/human Being with a Divine Birthright.
Love and compassion are the highest frequencies
within humanity’s spectrum of Light and shadow. Inspired, Sacred thought forms, originating within the Sacred Mind and
filtered through the Sacred Heart, are the most powerful, creative energy in the material world of existence. The Flame within
the Sacred Heart is one of the manifestations of the Supreme Creator, the White Fire Essence called Adamantine Particles.
The Fire Element continually replicates Itself, and through invocation it will eventually transform humanity’s distorted
creations. The Fire Element is the supreme force of the five elements: fire, air, earth, water and spiritual ethers.
You, the advanced Light Bearers, are now comfortably
established within the ever-increasing vibrational patterns of the Earth’s etheric body, which is gradually moving into
the harmonious frequencies of the higher fourth dimension while preparing to spiral into the lower plane frequencies of the
fifth dimension. However, as you know, time is accelerating and your beloved planet is progressing along the path of
ascension more and more rapidly. As it does, your reality will begin to change even more dramatically. Over a span of time,
much of what you thought was your truth, your new way of functioning and Being, your new identity, will be upgraded, modified
or left behind. A new holographic picture is emerging, and in your uncertainty you wonder where you fit in this new scheme,
and what you are to do now. We ask you to stay focused on the task at hand, to stay centered within your Sacred Heart
and to Light the Way for those on the Path behind you. There are many wondrous miracles in the making, beloveds. Stand strong
in your truth and integrity, and we will Light the way for you.

The changes in consciousness and frequency
are now becoming more noticeable in our 3D reality. Those that have hidden behind the veil of illusion and have played the
game of manipulation and control are now being exposed. The control system is becoming visible and easier to see by more people.
The eternal expanded truth frequencies of love/Source Light are now being embodied by a wider range of people. This love/truth
frequency has always been here but it has been held back and shrouded by fear. It is the energy of fear that has held the
veil of illusion and control in place. As it has been said many times, a person will not be able to see and experience what
lies beyond their own fear unless the fear is released. Since so many people are now releasing the fear program/frequency
and integrating more of their own eternal love we are seeing what truly exists in this reality. The truth cannot be hidden
for long when the Light of the truth is shinning so brightly.
As we step out of what was previously known
we step into the eternal levels of our Being. This step is something that we have to be willing to do on an individual level.
A person cannot be forced to take the step out of fear and into freedom. We integrate our own higher expanded truth and love
through the process of releasing the old. Once this higher truth for which I speak is realized, it does not have to be defended
for it cannot be lost. It is eternal. When we realize this truth there is nothing to compare it to for the truth is the truth.
There is no more fear of being wrong for the truth is known. This is wisdom. Wisdom is not obtained through beliefs, it is
integrated with experience, it is an inner knowing. So it is through the process of releasing the beliefs and patterns for
which allows your own inner wisdom, eternal truth and knowing to be integrated and realized.
On Earth right now we are stepping into the
next paradigm. The next cycle of life on this planet. There is nothing to fear about these changes. We are just stepping into
the shoes of our expanded Selves. If the expansed Self is feared how could you expect to step into it? This is what everyone
on Earth is currently being given the choice to do. Just as someone cannot be forced to step out of fear they cannot be forced
to experience a higher level of Creation for which they do not wish to exist in. The levels of Creation are frequency specific.
So if it is your wish to experience the next paradigm of love and peace here on Earth,make your wishes known through your
living actions. Some people/souls have already made this choice while there are still many that are undecided. All it
takes is the willingness to be yourself in an expanded way with-out fear and integrate your own eternal truth and love. To
be your eternal self of your I AM and let go of the restrictions that limit your own divine light and knowledge from flowing
freely. To be the encompassing light beyond all separation and duality.
So as we all integrate more of own eternal truth
and move through this transforming period of time into our 4th and 5th density human forms. Let's take more responsibility
for what we are Co-Creating together. Let's observe and be aware of how our actions are affecting other people and the collective
whole. Are we assisting the collective expansion into unity consciousness or working against the collective expansion? Are
we stepping up and changing our patterns of life to match our current state of Being and wisdom or are we living our lives
in the old paradigm of limitation? Are we in service and assisting others through their own process of realization and transformation
or are we still in the same pattern of "collective Self denial?" Collective Self denial is very much like personal Self denial
but it is just on a collective level. Are you in service to your personal identity or the collective expanded Self? What are
you doing to assist the collective Self in evolving into this next age of love and unity? Are you allowing your wisdom to
flow or are you holding it back due to old fearful patterns? Lastly are you waiting for someone else to Create the next paradigm
for you or are you stepping up and being the Co-Creator of it? The answers to these questions are good indications of how
you are aligning yourself with the coming times.
We are all being presented with many choices
these days and a lot of changes are happening. Follow the bliss my friends, follow the bliss, joy and happiness that exists
in your life. Stand up and Create what you desire. Create the experience you wish to exist in instead of experiencing what
others have created for you. Create and forge your own path. Integrate your own eternal truth and connection with All That
Is. Together we will evolve and together we will experience our combined collective truths. It is up to us!

God said:
So close are We that you could reach out your
hand and touch Me, that is, if I were physical as you are physical. That I am Pure Being and not physical makes it easier
for you to reach Me, and I to reach you. Actually, as it is, we are permeable. In fact, it cannot be said that We reach when
We are actually One. Where does One reach to? How do you reach where you already are? There is no span to cross.
And yet We reach. We reach with Our hearts.
We touch with Our hearts. We love. The more We love, the closer We feel. Love enough, and Oneness is all, and, yet, love is
not from the Will, and, yet, love can be willed.
If I am the tree, you are the branches of My
tree. If you are My apples, I am your Tree.
Our Oneness expresses itself in various ways.
Nevertheless, Our connection is inviolable. One with many aspects is still One. You are My One all right.
I extend Myself to Myself, and that is My joy.
We are Our joy. We can say whatever We wish to say, yet Oneness is Oneness.
We come back to Oneness which We have never
left. How can One return to where He has never left? How can One be absent from Oneness when Oneness is All and all that is?
So, then, what can happen in the world of happenings?
Nothing at all.
Oneness utters a sound, and a tale spins. A
tale stretches across the Universe, a babble of words, a babble of sounds. A sound is a sound, and tale is a tale, and so
We are spun across the Universe.
Birds sing, and what are birds, and what does
their song sing?
Someone drives a car, follows a route, or takes
a detour, and what is the difference and what is the meaning, if anything?
Multiplicity is not more than Oneness. Multiplicity
is the tale spun. Suspense builds, and Being participates in life and so wakes up to Oneness. Oneness is all that is to wake
up to.
Oneness knows not fraughtness. Personalities,
the characters in the story told, the tale spun, the leaves from God's tree, know fraughtness. They know how to weave a story.
They know how to create it, how to play with it, and how to escape from it perhaps only to pick it up again later. Personalities
know confusion, and know how to trade stock in it. Personalities take stock of confusion and pick it up everywhere and collect
it. Personalities get bees in their bonnets.
The Self loves. The One Self laughs and loves.
Being is incipient love. Being is love gathering itself. It is love before it streams. It is fullness of love ready to pour.
What a blessed Being I AM to come to Earth in
so many ways and to play all the parts all at once. And, yet, I watch Myself in action - the seeming you in action - and many
may think I am far away in the sky when I am the Closest of the Close.
So what do We talk about anyway, and who and
what is it for?
I think We are for love. That's what We are
on Earth for.
Let Us specialize in love. It is easy. All We
have to do is to undo whatever it may be that keeps Us from loving outright. We leave the past. We leave it where it lies.
We don't bury it. We let the past fade in the dust, and We emerge new, and We love some more.
There is nothing to come closer to than love,
and love is Oneness, and We, seemingly expressed as you and as Me, are love. Who would ever want to be anything else?

In a classic scene in The
Graduate, young Ben is at his college graduation party when a friend of his parents takes him aside and earnestly whispers,
“Plastics.” That industry will be the next rage, the fellow hints, and if Ben is smart he’ll get in on the
ground floor.
Fast forward to 2012. A young acupuncturist phones
my Hay House Radio show, Get Real, and confesses her fear that she will not be able to earn enough money to provide for her
family, including her little child. I whisper to her, “Transformational services” and leave a pregnant pause for
the message to sink in.
I go on to tell the woman that in the years to come
we will see increasing change, disorientation, and turmoil as many social systems and institutions will likely disintegrate.
They will be replaced by new systems rooted in truth, vision, and service rather than fear, greed, and illusion. As people
are pushed out of old comfort zones and lifestyles they will be hungry for answers, relief, and skills to shift into more
authentic and rewarding careers, relationships, and living situations. At such a time anyone connected to spiritual principles
and tools will be in high demand and of great service.
If you are a teacher, healer, massage therapist,
coach, speaker, minister, or counselor offering services to uplift individuals or groups, the universe has a job for you.
In the world as we have known it, where many people are clinging to methods and systems based on shallow values and false
security, you may not be sought out, acknowledged, or paid well for your work. But in the coming epoch in which people need
integrity more than hype, they will be happy to pay you to soothe their journey and accelerate their evolution.
Until the deeper consciousness is established, faith
is required. The old has died away, or is dying, and the new has not yet come to replace it. Imagine you are at a party where
you have grown tired, bored, or disillusioned with the people and conversations in the room. You step out of the room in search
of new friends and peers who match your values and offer stimulating, empowering interactions. In the corridor you can faintly
hear people in another room, but you cannot see them. As you transition between rooms you may feel alone, insecure, or frightened.
You might be tempted to turn back — but you couldn’t even if you tried. The genie is out of the bottle. So you
have to just keep moving ahead, trusting that you are on your way to higher ground. The trail will become wider and you will
find your “just right” tribe.
Regardless of apparent chaos, a grand design is unfolding.
Upheaval is the turning over of the ground in preparation for planting new seeds. The winter may have been harsh and cold,
but the spring will soften the soil. The ego resists change because it has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo,
even if the status quo is dysfunctional. Yet the higher mind or inner spirit recognizes that anything taken away is replaced
by something greater. As Rabindranath Tagore noted, “Faith is the bird that feels the light and sings when the dawn
is still dark.”
To clarify your role in coming world, ask yourself,
“Where does my passion call me? How can I serve others in the highest way possible? What tools can I offer that will
bring them greater peace and aliveness? Regardless of what I was told about how the world is supposed to work, what do I know,
from inside out, about how life really works?”
During this crucial shift we are taking back the
power we have vested in external institutions. The only real authority resides in the wisdom and power within you. As you
trust your heart and vision more than dogma and dictates, you will have all the guidance you need and the ability to help
others access all the guidance they need.
A Chinese blessing suggests, “May you live
during interesting times.” That we do. In many ways our times seem unstable and worrisome, but they are also rife with
the possibility of change for the better. A Course in Miracles tells us, “All change is good.”
In another classic film, Ferris
Bueller’s Day Off, Ferris phones his friend Cameron to ask him if he wants to skip school and go out and play.
When Cameron complains that he’s too sick to get out of bed, Ferris tells Cameron that he just can’t think of
anything worth getting up for.
If the world or your life seems sick or tired, it
may be only because we have accepted a world that doesn’t offer us anything to get up for. But if we recognize that
something new and wonderful is calling to us, we will find the energy and means to create what we would choose rather than
what has been cast upon us.

Everybody Holds Pain - Where do you
hold yours?

I recently spent some time with a woman I grew
up around. I was in her town and offered to treat her to lunch. I told her to choose a restaurant that she hasn't been to
before and that feels 'abundant' and extravagant to her. She chose an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet. She had a coupon.
As I was on my second salad, she began commenting
on the physicality of our fellow eaters. 'Why doesn't she DO something about THAT.' 'I'm surprised these chairs can hold him.'
'How sad, even their kids are huge.' 'How could she let her self GO like that?'
Her words were hurtful and made my stomach turn.
As we finished our meals, my friend stood up and as she did, she gripped her back and moaned. She has had back pain for years
and every move she makes is painful. She has been sleeping on the same mattress for 30 years.
As I drove back to her home my friend chatted
continuously about other drivers and how one 'should' always play by the rules so everyone on the road feels safe. When I
dropped her off at home and began to say goodbye, her partner of many years greeted me with kindness. My friend's partner
has been depressed for a long time and doesn't leave the house. Her pain shows as a permanent, downturned mouth and swollen
eyes. Perhaps she cries often, I don't know. We hugged and chatted a bit as I found a place to sit in their living room. It
was packed with stuff.
Stuff. You know, important things we collect.
On the top of one of the piles on the coffee table was a magazine. Reminace. My friend is 80+ and likes to focus upon her
'good' life in the 40s and 50s.
After chatting about the weather, the government,
illegal aliens, and how immigrants 'should' learn English in order to stay here in the US, I graciously left and drove back
to my hotel room. My 5D sanctuary.
Pain
We all hold pain. Every body holds pain
in it's own unique way. It can show up as complaining about others, as extra weight (I've been there), depression (that too)
or physical aches (sometimes). Our individual art or mastery is how we deal with it. How do YOU deal with your pain? Do you
even recognize it?
How to cope with pain
One way we cope with
our pain is to deny it. 'If I just ignore it, it will go away.' But does it truly go away? Or does it simply demonstrate itself
in quiet, passive/aggressive ways? As with my friend's partner-sadness and depression.
Another way is to be macho (got testosterone?)
'I'm as strong as a bull. I can bulldoze my way through anything.' Yes you can' until that body or mind gets exhausted and
quits in some way-an injury or breakdown.
Another way we respond to pain is to project
our inner pain onto those around us. 'Why doesn't she DO something about that fat/back pain/cough/acne/depression?' This is
a common solution most engage in. If I find others who I can pick on or criticize, I don't have look at my own pain or where
I am off-balance. They are much worse off than I am. I have mine under control.
Moan. You can moan and grunt and make big sighs,
and perhaps others around you will become sympathetic and pity you. Or perhaps they will ask you what your problem is. This
will open the door for you to talk about all your doctors and surgeries and medications. Better yet, find someone you can
commiserate with and compare pains. You can make it a game and compete to see who has the sorest back.
Self-medicate. Lots of options here.
No matter what, it begins in your head
The more masterful (and perhaps more difficult)
way to cope with pain is to focus on releasing or lessening it. Use the tools you've learned to de-charge and release that
pain, whether it manifests as physical, emotional or mental off-balance. Of course, before we do that we must decide that
we are really finished with it. Many are not finished carrying that pain around. It has become so familiar they can't imagine
life without it. 'Who will I be if I am not depressed and overwhelmed?'
Start with imagining what is possible. Pretend.
What would today be if I were not eating a bag of cookies right now? If I were happy? If imagining is too difficult find a
living example of the ideal you. What words is that person demonstrating? Certain, Successful, Active, Vibrant? Simply watch
how s/he demonstrates that energy.
First, decide that the pain and the pickle you
are in is no longer fun, nor does it give you the attention/sympathy/comfort it did originally. Then you must decide it is
too expensive to carry that rock around in your backpack any longer; it's too expensive physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Then step up to your tool bench and use the tools you have to de-charge that old habit. The Rose, the Grounding Cord, the
Living Words and others. (There are many others.) Take baby steps to avoid discouragement or self-pressure. This isn't a race
to wellness.
Buying a new mattress and seeing a chiropractor
could also be a great first step to relieving that painful back. But if you did that, you might not have much to talk about
anymore. You might lose all your complaining friends. You might get happy!
