Venus Between Us: The June 2012 Transit

Once in a lifetime comes a very rare astrological
and astronomical event. One of great astronomical significance is coming in June 2012 and is billed by astrologers as the
event of the year.
Approximately every 121 years, the planet Venus moves between the Sun and our line of vision
so that Venus passes directly across the face of the Sun. When the Moon passes across the face of the Sun it’s called
an eclipse. When a planet passes across the Sun’s face it’s more precisely known as an occultation. It has been
called an eclipse on some web sites, but this is not correct. It is too small to block out the sun. It will look like a small
dot crossing the Sun’s face.
These Venus occultations always occur around the end of May or beginning of
June, (Gemini), and or in November or beginning of December (Sagittarius).
On June 6th this year we will be able
to see the small shadow disc of Venus transit across the Sun maintaining its passage for about 6 hours.
This
doesn’t happen often and unless you happen to have a great, great, grandfather who is approaching 125 years, nobody
alive today has seen this before.
The last occultation was December 1882 and each time the occultation occurs
it comes in twos, the second one being 8 years on. The previous first one was in December 1874.
The earlier transit
this century was June 8th, 2004. Following this time around, the next one is 2117.
Historical Venus Transit Events
Venus
transits seem to presage great shifts in human consciousness and this June promises more of the same. If we look back at the
last several occultation’s – in 1518/26, 1631/39, 1761/69 and 1874/82 we can pick up patterns with them in Sun
signs of Gemini or Sagittarius.
Looking at the events of 1519, Magellan del Cano set about the first circumnavigation
of the world. The impact on European civilisation was immense showing clearly the world was a globe.
This was
one of the first steps into a new world view – we live on a globe, not a flat world that drops off into heaven or hell.
The
Reformation began in Western Europe, and the age of female rulers came to Europe – Mary Queen of Scots, Mary I, Elizabeth
I, and Catherine de Medici and all reigned then.
The next pair of occultations in 1631/1639, coincided with the
beginning of the first regular mail services in Europe, Denmark, and Sweden. This enabled communication over long distances.
The transit was in Sagittarius, which rules long distances.
At the time of the 1639 transit, the first printing
press was set up in America in Cambridge. With faster communication the global village had started. Also came the rise of
rationalist science beginning to get its hold over the Western mind.
The 1761/1769 transit was the first to be
observed in an international co-operative effort by scientists from around the world setting up at 70 different locations.
This kind of co-operation had never been done by any scientific group on a global scale before. Venus is all about relationships,
and Gemini is information. She was the cause of the change in the way we communicate with each other throughout the world.
The
American revolution had its origins in this period. And Australia was claimed as a country for Great Britain.
In
1874/1882 the Venus transit coincided with the founding of the World Postal Union and the completion of the Atlantic telegraph
cable. Also in those years Alexander Graham Bell first conceived the idea of the telephone – global communications began
to be a reality. The explosion of information really started – newspapers, telephone, telegraph, eventually radio and
finally the internet.
In the same period the rise of women’s suffrage eventually led to women being given
the vote in NZ, then Australia, and ultimately throughout the USA.
Each transit has brought about new explorations
into the world, especially in communication, because the transits often occur in Gemini, the sign of communication. It has
brought humanity closer together.
What will the transits of 2012 bring? We could have another colossal advance
in thinking, communicating and relationships, and a new planetary world-view
The Mayan Civilisation and Venus
The
Mayan civilization, along with the Aztecs and Incas, which were crushed by Spanish and Portuguese expansionism after the 1518/26
transits, all placed tremendous importance on Venus cycles.
The Mayans regard the cycles of rising and setting
of Venus near the Sun as a key timing trigger in the world.
Within the Indian Vedic traditions, the 120 year
Venus transit cycle is also regarded as of major importance. And it’s not surprising that the second Venus transit falls
in 2012, just six months from the end of the current Mayan calendar.
How did the Maya determine the revolution
periods of Venus with such accuracy?
One way to explain this is that they exploited the opportunity of a pair
of Venus passages, e.g. those in AD 659/667, to accomplish this.
As Venus makes 5 synodic revolutions, the Earth
makes 8 revolutions around the Sun minus approximately 2 days. This is why the dates for the Venus passages in 2004 and 2012
occur at 8th and 6th of June, respectively. The Maya knew the period of revolution of the Earth around the Sun within three
decimals, and then by making observations through their black obsidian glass of Venus crossing the disc of the sun, and determining
the time of day this happens on consecutive passages, it would have been possible to make an exact estimate of the synodic
revolution of Venus. It is mathematically simple, but to do this requires greater insights into the workings of the Cosmos
than we have.
To the ancient Maya, this was their reality, and they knew the importance of these measurements
for the future.
The eight years in between each occultation are prolific processing moments for new ideas and
world changes as they grow and mature.
Previous cycles have shown that global communications and a change in
consciousness concerning the scope and nature of the world are part of these transits. The other issue is Venus’ role
as female entity and ruler of the feminine, the creative and as an artistic channel for new breakthroughs.
The
Sun in astrology represents the masculine energy and the principle life force in our solar system. It’s at the centre,
and from its position it drives the planets. It’s a vital life force, the ability to give and receive, leadership, generosity,
and drive.
Venus is the female love principal in astrology. It’s the primordial Yin energy of our system.
It’s harmony, beauty, sociability, co-operation, women, and the goddess energy. So when Venus aligns with the Sun (from
our Earth’s perspective), the principle life force is united with love, female energy, harmony, and the goddess principle.
The
Venus Prophecy
In the book The Mayan Prophecies for 2012 by Gerald Benedict, he refers to a number of prophecies
made by Popul Vuh who speaks of a critical period of transition as Venus crosses the face of the Sun. It’s interesting
that the prophecy seems to be saying that self-sacrifice is the key here. Restraint in the face of crisis and what we need
today is restraint in the face of a consumer driven world.
There they looked forth for the coming forth of the
Sun… then they fasted and cried out in prayer. They fixed their eyes firmly on the dawn, looking to the east. They watched
closely for the Morning Star, the great star that gives its light at the birth of the Sun. They looked to the womb of the
sky and the womb of the Earth.
The Popol Vuh is a book of narratives of the post classic Maya K’iche’
kingdom in Guatemala’s western highlands. The title translates as "Book of the Community," "Book of Counsel," or more
literally as "Book of the People".
The 6th June occultation occurs at 15 and half degrees Gemini with a square
to Mars in Virgo and to Chiron (the healing force) in Pisces. There is also a strong creative Quintile aspect to Uranus the
revolutionary planet of innovation and rebellion. Uranus is also about fast and progressive technological innovation. This
means very powerful energies are released to deal with and harmonise the masculine vital force of Mars – through direct
action! And this is at a time when women’s rights issues are at the forefront in Muslim and Arab cultures; and in the
USA where woman’s contraception and birth control rights are under attack. A powerful time of transformation for a very
disturbed and disrupted world. This Venus transit couldn’t have come at a better time
Observing the Venus
Transit
Venus will take about 6 hours to fully transit the face of the Sun when viewing from Eastern Australia.
Normally
you cannot look at the Sun as it burns your retina, so do not stare directly at the Sun Instead set up what’s called
a Pinhole Camera. Get yourself in a position where you can project the light from June 6th Sun and through a large sheet of
card with a small hole in it onto another sheet of white paper in the shade. Given good weather you’ll be able to see
the small black disc of Venus on the top section of the Sun’s face on the projection.
Observations from
Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney (Australia): Begins: 8:16am, Middle: 11:30am, Finish: 2:44pm.
Along the East coast of
Australia, Venus begins its passage after 8 am and completes after 2.30pm. The centre point is at about 11.30am. Stand up
and look out for this rare cosmic event – you’ll only see it once in a lifetime.

What Do We Do Now?
We can accept that we choose
our thoughts and how they are directed.

can begin to know that our actions and thoughts affect our world.
Group action and thought is a very powerful.
We now go beyond the left-brain and are bringing in the power of the right-brain. This is the return of the Venusian Goddess.

Venus

Straight communication is the procedure when you wish to relay
your thoughts clearly and concisely, without any risk of confusion and misunderstanding. There are times that we observe your
posts and comments in the public forums of your online social networks where we perceive difficulties in your communications
with each other. What we are suggesting is a much more direct form of communication between each of you through the means
of word choice. What we would like to see is an improved form of communication necessitated by a more concise use of the language
you speak. The end result would be much clearer communications between you.
We would like to see each of you
begin to choose words that cut through the murky waters of confusion and rhetoric. We would like to see you each make your
points to each other much more clearly and much more succinctly. Getting to the point faster and explaining your point of
view much more briefly are the improvements that we feel will benefit you in the forms of better communications and a reduction
in the amount of misunderstandings, and at times, confusion.
Today is a good day to begin as it always is, and
what we would like to see is posts and comments made in your online social networks that are shorter, more to the point, and
explain your position clearer and sharper without the need to explain your feelings and your point of view through a lot of
unnecessary word use and description. If you could do that for us it would not only assist us to better understand you and
your points of view, but will also cut down on a lot of unnecessary writing that can be a chore for you due to the limitations
of your current technologies. Faster, sharper and more to the point are what we would like to see, and we will be looking
for these improvements from you beginning immediately upon the publication of today's communication from us.
We
have noticed quite frequently that many of you speak in a very roundabout manner and move into areas that have little to do
with the reason for your posting and your comments. We would like you to experience the virtues of getting to the point faster
without a need for explanations or apologetic qualifiers and descriptions about your background. The body of your message
should only contain the direct point of your communication to better get your point across and cut down on the amount of time
consumed by writing so many unnecessary words. This will also save time for the person or persons reading your posts or comments.
We feel this is an area certainly worth the efforts to make improvements, and we feel your communications between each other
will improve greatly upon your efforts in just this one area.
We see that many of you are very good writers
and we do enjoy many of your flowery writing that paint lovely pictures of your experiences, your feelings and your questions.
This type of writing does have its well deserved place in this universe, but it is not here and it is not the time for this
type of artistic expression. What it is the time and place for is communication on a great level, performed as fast as possible
and sent and received as quickly, efficiently and as accurately as possible. Do you see and understand the difference dear
ones? What we are engaged in throughout your online social networks is more of a businesslike enterprise, where certain tasks
need to be completed at certain intervals of your time. Production is the name of the game now. Rich and beautiful tales told
in painted tapestries of romance, action and adventure are not the call of the day. The call of the day is our mission, and
our mission calls for procedures to be completed as quickly and as efficiently as they can to allot more time needed for areas
of operation that are even more involved and could see delays, delays that we cannot afford the luxury to accommodate as time
is running very short and windows of opportunity will close according to a schedule that your universe has set.
If
you could see clearer the overall mission with its many involved singular and connected operations, you would understand this
much clearer, and we do understand that this can be a frustrating experience for you when you do not enjoy the bird’s
eye view that we do from our vantage point. There are very good reasons why there are areas of our operation and our time
schedule that are not fully explained to you. Some of these reasons have to do with the reasons why you have incarnated and
taken on the challenges that you have. You must understand that there our multifaceted reasons for you being here and not
all of them have to do with our mission and not all of them have to do solely with your personal goal of spiritual advancement.
A great deal of your journey here is an interconnected series of goals and tasks you have set out to accomplish.
Understanding this will allow you to understand greater why not everything that we know can be explained to you. Can you now
understand this? Can you now understand why we do not sit you down and divulge the entire scenario to you, giving away secrets
and endings that have never been intended for you until your experience here is completed? We feel many of you now understand
this, and understand better why there are areas of operation that we do not divulge to you and why certain time schedules
also are not made clear to you.
There are also security concerns involving your dark cabal who have made it
clear that they do not wish to see your new systems implemented in this world, and we do have to make certain considerations
in this regard. Revealing our plans to you publicly is revealing our plans to them, and this is what we do not wish to do.
There are certain areas of our endeavors that we do make known to you through public forums on your Internet, and we feel
these areas of operations are well shielded enough to be able to divulge some of these plans to you. There are other areas,
of course, that are much more sensitive and we cannot divulge much, if any, information on them through your Internet medium.
There are those of you who have been given a little more information than what can be posted throughout your
Internet forums, and these individuals have been able to receive this information due to their abilities to receive telepathic
communications from us. This is an area that we would like to see more of you learn and make improvements upon. Telepathic
communication is the means in which many beings throughout this universe and many organizations throughout this universe communicate
with each other. In time, all of you who choose will be communicating in this manner at least partly, as many of you will
continue to also communicate through acoustic speech. Think of telepathic communications as an added tool to the means in
which you communicate, but for many of you it will not become the only means in which you relay messages, your thoughts and
your feelings to each other.
In the days ahead, we will be able to communicate with you more openly, and at
that time you will understand greater our overall mission and the schedule that we have in mind for these events. There will,
however, always be some mystery and some question as to your personal journey as it is not our right to divulge this kind
of information to you. There are some areas of your personal experience that we do understand and can speak to you about,
but please always keep in mind that there are many personal quests that you are involved in and it is up to you to find the
clues yourselves and unlock these mysteries and the answers that you seek.
This has all been designed for your
advancement and your upliftment, and much of what you are experiencing was mapped out by you yourself before your current
incarnation. It was you that knew best what you needed to experience to bring results that would see you grow and prosper
as a being on an eternal journey of mystery, wonder and adventure. There will come a time for you when all the mysteries,
secrets and answers that are currently just out of your reach will be yours, and it will be then that you create for yourself
a whole new set of mysteries, quests, tests and challenges for yourself and you will once again set out to discover these
treasures and unlock their secrets.

Weekly LightBlast: Fortitude

We come then to another round of Fortitude. The LightBlast
is a channeled topic that is a weekly progression of self-focus for Lightworkers. Sometimes topics resurface, as Fortitude
has from early in the year. It’s 2012 – showtime! ;o) We’ve been preparing for this year
and here it is. Are you noticing your shift? Do you see that change is more rapid, resistance is more challenging
and things that were easy before are being brought to a new level of mastery? Fortitude is a must!
We are leading ourselves and Lighting a path of change for
others into the new golden age. Here personal responsibility is highlighted, consideration of others and the earth is
required and Love leads choice. Fortitude is your ability to shine your Light in dark places, both within yourself and
within this experience on earth. Each person has a different role, a different focus and change means that focus shifts,
too. Fortitude is your ability to go with the flow (less resistance) and allow when it is time; and to paddle with the
flow and move forward when it is time.
Finding Fortitude within sometimes requires a perspective
shift, as we highlighted in last week’s Wedded Bliss. To acquire a perspective shift can take some practice (Abraham-Hicks
is masterful at teaching this) as usually when you need a perspective shift, you’re feeling emotionally and mentally
challenged. It takes astute awareness and habitual practice at finding the silver lining - but in a way that you believe
it! When you observe a challenge and ‘find the silver lining,’ you are settling yourself into a more peaceful
state. This state opens your mental and emotional channels, which were blocked with worry, frustration, etc., to new
information, possibility and ease in the moment. That’s Fortitude. Simply finding a perspective that allows
peace in a moment of challenge. Remember that an emergency responder is in a form of peace – the ability to stay
focused and move quickly, pull loads of technical information quickly and remain effective, keep emotionally calm and strong
in a situation that is highly charged and perhaps even dangerous. This is an extreme example, but as you remember that
All is Well in a moment, as you find the perspective of challenges you’ve handled in the past, and as you find the perspective
of improvement in the future, your now becomes a moment of peace. Peace is courage and strength in a moment of challenge;
and calm in a moment of ease. That is a form of Fortitude.
As we sit to Blast Fortitude, we are building a strong base
of peace, empowerment and Divine Perspective. We are remembering that we are capable creators that shift this world
by shining brightly in the glow of Love. We are able to shift our perspective to a win/win solution. We are able
to utilize Time to prove our capability, our possibility and our peace in the now. We are the builders of the Golden
Age, beginning within and then sharing our inner gold with others. We are the pillars of strength, peacefully standing
strong, singular and united with all. Blast on!

to the Greatness within You

To let go
of the past means to let go of regret, remorse, self-recrimination, disappointment, distress, judgment and attachment to any
of them.
To let go of the future means to let go of demands, insistence, attachment, requirements, having to
have, control. It means tipping your hat to life. It means blessing it. It means having happiness in mind and not requiring
how it is to be funneled.
To live in the present is not holding on to it. To live in the present is to witness
it. To live in the present is a perfect state of non-attachment.
Past, present, future, there is no holding onto.
There is freedom. Free yourself from attachment. Attachment is like getting caught in a glue jar. Attachment is digging yourself
in deeper.
Attachment is clutching.
If life is climbing a mountain, climb the mountain without nailing
yourself to it. How can you climb when you are nailed to the ground?
There is no point to all the holding on
you do. You have been holding on to people, even those who have departed from the Earth a long time ago. You have to let go,
and yet you can't seem to let go. You have been on a holding-on frenzy.
Beloveds, you have strived to become
a miser of life. A miser hoards and has the idea he needs to hoard. He believes hoarding is his happiness. But as the story
develops, hoarding is his downfall.
You can't hold on to the past and move forward. Well, life will move you
forward in any case. Holding on to the past is an illusion on top of an illusion. You can hold on all you want, and yet you
can't hold on one bit. You are holding onto nothing. Holding on does not keep you safe. Letting go keeps you safe.
Besides,
safety is not the purpose of life. Living is your purpose. I mean living, not just making it through. Stop holding your breath.
You
are not a china doll who can be put on a shelf. There is no end to you. There is no shelving you.
Life is about
life, not avoidance.
You tilt at windmills. You run to hide in the forest, and the forest consumes you.
Live
life rather than fearing it. Live life, not hide from it. Live life as an equal. Find the Greatness within you.
It
takes courage to live as a human being on Earth. It takes courage because you fear it. Overcome your fears. Make peace with
them and let them go. Fears will go their way, and you can go yours.
This is not recklessness I speak of. This
is the course of life.
Life is not a gauntlet. It is a vibrant journey. It is the chance of a lifetime. You have
to take it. You cannot shun it. Shunning is not mastery. Shunning is simply continuing to knit the sweater you have already
started.
You were never meant to be a procrastinator in life. You were not meant to shy away from riding the
horse of life. You were meant to leap on the horse and keep riding, riding. Roam the range of life. Live life. Make your life
opportune. Even make life holy. Grab life by the horns and ride with it.
You can be thrown off Earth but never
the horse of life. You are committed to Eternity. Bear that in mind, and perhaps, if your mind is racing, it will settle down.
Life
and peace and love arrive at the same moment of Eternity.
