Unconditional Love
Unconditional Love
God
speaks through everyone; it is how you listen that determines if you hear the voice of God or man. If the Ego listens it hears
only words that may spur emotions and eventual questioning that may lead to a desire to understand oneself which may eventually
lead to an understanding of unconditional Love. But if the Eternal Spirit does the listening and is aware that god speaks
to us through other people by their words and actions, then whatever they say or do becomes a window into one’s own
soul. By asking the question, “Lord, what are you saying to me through this person?” we are acknowledging not
only that we are aware of the Divine presence, but also that we are indeed receiving the messages that It is sending us. When
the Light within us begins to view all others as Light bearers also, the souls form connections and become rapidly corrected
by such intense exposure to the Light. It is the total disregard for whether the circumstance feels bad or good to us, but
instead what Divine insight may be gained from the experience that embodies Unconditional Love. The essence of Unconditional
Love is in the realization that each moment is a manifestation of the Divine specifically to communicate with us about the
complex workings of our innermost being. It is easy to Love God (whatever you call It), so when we are truly aware of the
fact that we are all little fractions of this Light Essence, The Creator, it makes it easier to love our enemies. We can love
them because they bring a message from God. Once we are aware of this all we need to do is ask what the message is. All that
is required is a pure desire for revelation to take place. Once the Light of Understanding has revealed the message about
ourselves that an enemy has delivered, they are no longer an enemy, but messenger from God who we are now grateful to. When
we are able to see the purpose and meaning behind why certain people are in our lives and the truths that they reveal to us
about ourselves, we begin to honor these connections. Even connections with people that we profess to dislike or situations
that cause us anxiety are the voice of God. They remind us to remain aware of our ego and attachments. All we need ask is,
“Lord, help me to understand this situation.” And rapidly we will receive peace and clarity. How does this
explain Unconditional Love? Well, conditional love, obviously, is where we withdrawal our love when the interaction no longer
suits us, or withhold it altogether based on our perception of the person or situation. This kind of love is self serving.
It says, “I will show you favor as long as there is something in it for me.” Unconditional Love, however, realizes
that all things, people, and circumstances are exactly as they should be for the Soul’s development. Unconditional Love
says, “ I am grateful for this opportunity to learn more about myself, thank you for helping me to see what I need to
focus on.” Unconditional love is Gratitude, for all things, both those that could be perceived as good or bad. So
it resists nothing, and accepts everything for what it really is, which is Divine Order. It accepts each moment as Divine
Order. Conditional love gives, but superficially. Once it sees that it is not receiving, it stops giving. Unconditional
Love, though, gives through receiving. By receiving with gratitude even those things which most would consider painful or
irritating as an opportunity to develop the soul, Unconditional Love gives peace and Light to its surroundings. How? By
not resisting. By allowing, it creates no friction or conflict and any negativity is thereby transmuted by absence of an opposing
force. To be conscious of the fact that each moment of each individual life is tailored specifically to bring awareness
to that individual soul of the Divine nature of its being, is the first step toward Unconditional Love. The next step is
to consistently be making those two important requests: 1) Lord, what are you saying to me through this person? 2) Lord,
help me to understand this situation. These questions will help to uncover the polarities in the individual soul that inhibit
it from aligning perfectly with the Divine source. Our connection to the Creator is only as pure and strong as our connections
to each other. When you love others unconditionally, you do not love their personalities, but instead, the Light that shines
through them to help illuminate your soul. In essence, these Unconditional Love Connections are Spirit bonded together with
common purpose, which is to correct and elevate the collective souls of humanity back into Divine Perfection. God dwells
in the Connections. Kersten Valenzuela 7-29-2010
