The Royal King

Well, the sun is shining today. What more is it that you want? Can it not be enough that the sun is shining on you? Can you wait a little to see what remarkableness the sun is bringing you this morning? What light will the sun shine on your life today?

And what light are you yourself shining on your life and the world?

Be like the sun and charge yourself up with the sun’s energy. Welcome the sun. And welcome you.

A day is dawning that has never dawned before. This is the day that has been waiting for you. This is the day for your debut. Walk out on the stage of the world, and say: “Good morning, Day. We have been waiting for each other to appear on the horizon. Now we are here, and we say hello. Good day, Sun, I also say because of my desire to welcome all light to me and to the world. I want to be the light of the world too. I want to be a discoverer of light as well. I want to be light inside, outside, every which side. How I love to be light and light up days and eyes and all of life. I want today to have an easy passage through my life. I want today to be energized by my receipt of it. I want, I want…”

The day wants you just as you say. The day says to you: “Get up, sleepyhead. I have arrived. I am here. Shall we get going and start ourselves on our journey this morning? I will take you wherever you would like to go. I am not exactly a golden chariot, but in a way I am, and I will take you along with me, and we shall see the sights that you pick out. I have a route to follow, and yet you can make of it what you will. Do you like that?”

Of course, you like that very much. You like to travel. You like to go places. And that is just what the day offers you. It offers you a whole day!

It’s like I have given you the ingredients to make a pie. You have choices. Whatever the day brings, what do you want to bring to the day? Do you want to make an apple pie, a lemon meringue pie, banana cream, pecan pie or Boston cream pie? Think of all the choices you have to choose from. Of course, there are mud pies and sour cream pie and crab cakes and so on.

How you bless today is your choice. Bless it well. Give it a good start. Give it your blessings. Thank this day for appearing before you, for the day serves you. You bid the day, and the day bids you. The day bids you, Good-day, and you bid the day, Good-day, and then you make it so. You make the day good.

Day rises, and day sets. You get up in the morning, and, at night, you go to bed. You and the day lie down together. Most likely, tomorrow gets up before you do. Soon enough, you do get up and rise to meet the new day that has dawned, a brand-new day, a day with unexpected treasures, a day that you might say is like another and yet it is not like any other. Today is a newborn day. It is a golden path for you to walk on, and it is a hammock to lie on and ponder on. It is your royal day today, and may you be the Royal King who rides on the day to see what it holds for you.
