The Hum Of Life |
|||||
Everything that arrives carries a message for you. The message
may be direct or symbolic. Life definitely visits you. You can be standing idly on the street corner, and life visits you.
Life also goes past you, and you can watch it, and still life visits you and tells you stories. There is that of life which
you like to greet, and there is that of life which you turn away from. We are talking about life while you are on Earth. In regard
to the permanent hum of life, all is welcome, and all is love, and all is known as love. In the temporary world, life is divided
up into categories you make pronouncements about. You assess. You appraise. You greet, you push away. And, yet, all of life in the world is trying to tell you something.
It has a gift for you. There is always a gift. Even in that which you would stay away from, there is a gift. You have not always been able to recognize the gift. Nevertheless,
there is not one occasion that is not giving you something worthwhile for you. You don’t see how that can be, and yet
it is. You see rain, and you see shine. Even when rain is not what
you want, you do see the value of it. In the same way, everything, beloveds, has its value. In everything, there is something
for you to gain from. Sorrow and what you perceive as loss are also bequeathing something for you. Sad as events may seem,
notwithstanding, you are being enriched, deepened, added to. No matter how life may seem to you, nothing is taken away from
you. In the long haul, you are being given a benefit. There is no need for you to be strung out on life, as if it were a penalty
or an encumbrance. What is the benefit of a broken bone, you might ask. And you
may never find out the answer, and yet the gift is there. Something more than the bone is mending. Illness brings its own
healing. Illness itself is a healing. Illness is healing that which is ill. Accidents bring something to your attention. Do
not think of a life as a warning. Know it as a gift. Death, as deadly as it seems to you, is a blessing. No matter
when, how, no matter to whom death comes, it is a blessing. The life before death of the body is also a blessing. It is so
easy for you to acknowledge the pain, and not so easy to acknowledge the blessing. And yet blessing there is. Life in the world is always holding up a mirror for you to look
into. You see yourself. In the mirror you see an image of an image of an image…yet does it not seem that there is more
in the mirror than you can see? You do know that there is something more there. If you could see from another angle, if you
could see further into the mirror, if you could see from behind or underneath or above, if you could truly see… And in the life you experience, there is always more to see.
There is a grand sweep in the Universe. You are being carried on the shoulders of life. You are being held up to a mirror
that has you shining in it. Under each stone there is something to know. Under each stone
lies good fortune no matter by what other names it may be called. Call life beautiful, beloveds. Call yourself beautiful.
