Teacher Ophelius: “The message for today is about the ‘death of the self,’ and how it is possible to pass from ego consciousness (living for the self), to the consciousness of the Spirit (living in partnership with God as a universe citizen). It is a decision born from the seat of the soul that recognizes the greater reality of eternal values over the impermanence of material gain and selfish gratification. For most, this greatest of ‘ah-ha’ moments marks the end of an old meaningless life of ‘doing,’ and the beginning of a new life of ‘being.’

“The ‘death of the self’ is a metaphor, yet that is exactly what happens when you become ‘born of the Spirit,’ you pass from a state of separation to one of wholeness. By letting go of control, struggle, and frustration for the things in life you truly cannot control, you will, for the first time, experience the peace of faith and the assurance that you are loved by God. Like passing a baton in a relay race, you ‘allow’ Spirit to become your sprinting partner in life – to give you relief when you are out of breath from running on your own, and you trust that this new partnership will guide you through the race where you shall discover the eternal values of what really matters in life.

“For many, it takes a serious shake-up to bring all the busyness of ‘doing’ to a standstill, to allow the soul to look out through the eyes of the mind to see how fragile is the framework of the life you have built on things that will soon pass away. If you were to be stripped of everything material – your job and title, your home, your car, your wealth, your entertainments, what remains? Who are you now? What do others in your life mean to you, and how do others see you without all that you possessed? After all the sifting you soon discover what remains. The part that is left at the bottom of the strainer has value to God and the people in your life that love you for who you really are – not for the title that you hold.

“This is the place where God can speak to the ‘real you’ and give you that assurance that you are a beloved child worthy of eternal life. You don’t have to suffer the loss of all your material comforts to come to this place of understanding, you only have to surrender your pride and remove the mask that the ego projects that shrouds the real you from standing in the light of the One Truth. It is only in the death of the self that you can truly know the real you, and like a child who comes into this world without title, without wealth, and without fear, it is the child-like faith and trust in the ‘spirit-born you’ that will bring you to the peace and understanding of the eternal values and meanings of life in the universe – a part of the whole.

“Examine yourself today, my friends, without all that you have and do, and discover what remains. Ask yourself, ‘What is the legacy I will leave behind in this world when I have passed?’ ‘Did I build eternal friendships and loves?’ ‘Will I be remembered for who I was as a person with loving regard?’ ‘Did I touch the lives of others in a meaningful way while I had the opportunity?’ Don’t wait until your life has passed to think about these things, ask them now and willingly acknowledge the death of the self, and embrace the new life of the Spirit.

You, My children, tend to think in terms of gain and loss and, so, in terms of cost and percent. You expend energy, and the energy you expend is expensive, and so you think in terms of expense. At the same time as you run all over the place and gain muscle, shall We say, you also sit on the sidelines and watch the goings-on as through a window.

In one sense, there is free entry to this theater of life. In another sense, you are let in and out of Earth and Heaven free, yet it seems to you that you have to pay a high rate for parking, as if you were a car in a garage, driven in and out from inside and outside at will. Sometimes you don’t know where you are or whether you are in or out. You stumble and you stride alike, embarrassed, sort of as if you don’t belong anywhere and never did.

Despite your impressions, you are full-time with Me, and I with you. You are under the canopy of My heart. Our hearts beat as One. And, so, holy are you who seemingly walk around on Earth, worrying about this and that, when there is no need to get caught up in worry.

“No need?!!” you exclaim. “I have bills to pay and children to feed!”

I don’t suggest that you be lackadaisical, yet despite your shenanigans and the fact that you are the actor on stage and you speak your part and move your legs and your arms and take responsibility and action, I am the Doer. I do by Being, so powerful is My Being, and so is yours. We are Being.

Your consciousness is utterly powerful and reliable, yet you don’t see it that way. Your consciousness is not a flat line. Your consciousness moves your life, and it moves the world, for through your consciousness, the world and your life in the world appear. In a sense, you are an apparition. Yes, We can call your life on Earth and all its in’s and out’s as an apparition. The soul of you is real. The Real You lives in Heaven wherever your body may stay. You are not your surroundings. You are not your embodiment. You are a soul who communes with Me. We commune as One inalterable One. We don’t have up’s and down’s. We have Oneness, and Our Oneness is constant and infallible.

Your perception is hit or miss, depending upon I don’t even know what. Could be the weather, the way someone looks at you, how fat or how lean your pocketbook is. Temporary transactions influence your supposed self. Your Real Self is not affected one whit. Your Real Self is affected not at all. Your Real Self flows in a steady stream. You are unwavering even amidst the changing tides.

Yet you may ask: “What good is it for me to accept what You say, God, when I don’t see it. What can I do but suspect You of, if you will excuse me, fraud? A fraud well-meant, sort of like a future lollipop promised to a child and then nowhere does the lollipop appear, perhaps an oversight, but no lollipop. I don’t want to be disappointed a second time, or third or fourth or an incalculable number of times.”

It is yourself you are suspicious of, beloveds. You fear flying. You fear falling. You fear you may not get up in the air at all. You fear disappointment, and you fear success.

You fear fear that seems to have been hounding you forever. No, beloveds, I AM forever, and you ARE forever, and nothing but love is happening. Meet Our love in your heart.

Bzutu: “There is such a thing as economic sustainability, and it can definitely be achieved by those in charge who have the interest of their voters at heart. It always comes back to your lawmakers to be the ever-watchful monitors keeping bankers and corporations honest and under control. When either or both of the latter become too powerful, or when the political side and judiciary become too weak, any chance at all for life to remain or become equitable for all sides will be rendered slim or non-existent.

“As greater (celestial) minds than ours survey the status quo in the Western world, as well as in some places in the East, we hear the day to day mindsets to be found resembling more and more those of the Kabuki Theatres, Wild West shows, or gambling casinos. Equitability is no longer present as an ever larger percentage of the population finds itself in poverty, jobless, desperate, and clueless as to which way to turn, while media ad infinitum provides them with red herrings on the ‘improving stability’ of their economies.

“A continent-wide reset, perhaps the world-wide reset, of such desperately out-of-proportion-financial circumstances of the haves and have-nots must and will sooner or later occur. It is hoped that on this occasion the lawmakers, worldwide, will have the gumption, the strength and the know-how to more tightly guide the future of all of their constituents in a fair and even-handed way, so all may feed their families and have a home.

“A reset is something to aim for, to work on, and pray for, as well as outright and forcefully demanding it from those placed in positions of power by none other than your selves. There is, however, a more important goal to be achieved for those who see themselves as the common people. Stay with your moral values. Do not see yourself slipping, like the lawmakers with their votes for sale to those with the funds that can change their greedy minds.

“Do not turn on those who are different, those of color, or those with weaker minds, like the constabulary now often preys upon those less able to defend themselves. Do not change the rules like the judiciary justifies almost anything illegal and inhuman to achieve ultimate control. As a mere mortal on the long road to perfection in determining your actions, always question if they contain truth, beauty and goodness to the fullest degree they can so contain these.

“In time, a reset of mores and morals will be inevitable, and hopefully this will be the case for those long tempted to change the rules at a whim. We all would like to see you come out quite unscathed from these unsettled times to come, yes, with a clean slate, having remembered that all are equal in His eyes, and having dealt with all in an even-handed way. I am ABC-22, I say thank you, and Adieu.”
