Do We Need 2-B Mean 2 Get What We Want?

There comes a time in your life when you realize that if you stand still, you will remain at this point forever. You realize that if you fall and stay down, life will pass you by. Life's circumstances are not always what you might wish them to be (at the moment). Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you now. Walk your path one step at a time. Keep your head up, and cast your dreams to the stars. Keep your belief in yourself and walk into your new journey. You will find it magnificent, spectacular, and beyond your wildest imaginings.

There is a belief that spiritual people are nice, accommodating, generous and selfless. And they usually are, to a fault. In working with spiritual business owners and teachers I have found that it is very hard for them to understand the difference between being mean and standing up for themselves. This appears to be a lesson they must learn and thus they have to deal with difficult clients, blocked abundance and frustration until they find this balance.

Are those who seem to block us being mean to us or are they acting in their own best interests? When their interests conflict with ours, whose take precedence? If we stand up for what we want and they don't like it, does that make us wrong? Are we going to take it personally or are we going to accept what is and not add any additional meaning to the situation? And then do what we must to ensure that we get what we want?

Lessons in power come through those who challenge us and we respond by acting powerfully or giving up. This means we either claim what is ours or go into victim mode. We become victims when our frustration becomes anger and then we feel slighted and take others' behavior personally. We can avoid this by remembering whose needs come first and that we have to ask for what we want or we will get whatever others are willing to give us. And they will give us whatever is most convenient for them.

Is there someone in your life who you feel is taking advantage of you, who doesn't respond to the efforts you make on their behalf? What is your response? Do you get angry and frustrated, give up, become a victim or see this as an opportunity to ask for what you want and put your needs first? How can we be effective manifestors if we can't ask for what we want and expect to get it (if not from that person then from someone who is willing to give it to us)? So you do not have to be mean to get what you want, just be confident that your needs are important, speak up and remember who is the priority in your life (it's you in case you need a reminder).

I smoke really sparingly - a stick or two a day, so no urgency to quit although it was such a dirty habit. After your mail on quiting, I immediately called on Archangel Micheal asking him why he did not let me know earlier for he is my guiding Angel. A few minutes after this transmission, I felt nauseated just at the thought of it; the desire even for company or pleasure just suddenly disappeared.
