Prayer: Father/Mother God, we thank you for this connection, this connection with each other, this connection with this eternal circuit of love. We ask you to inspire these transmissions with your wisdom this evening, thank you.

Teacher Gorman: Greetings to you this evening, it is good to be here amongst you, listening to your thoughts and feel the tenor of the group. Last time we met we had talked briefly about transition, transition from the mortal side to the spirit side, that doorway that we walk through and aspects of this were discussed. The aspects that were not discussed were the [material] things, the things which cause apprehension, dread, panic, fear. These are just the things that a spiritual practice addresses. Anything with the fear issue is the very first thing that any spiritual practice should address, that you find a place that you feel safe, a belief that is compatible and comparable with who you are and how you live, what you believe, that this reenforces your feeling of safety, feeling of trust, your feeling of faith, that you get to a point where you feel that there is absolutely nothing to fear because there is absolutely nothing at one point you can do to change who you are and to accept who you are and to walk through that door in acceptance in complete surrender, in trust knowing that you have lived the life you wanted to live and have been the person you wanted to be. It's not like there is a gatekeeper that is going to ask you three questions and if you get one of them wrong you get the red button. That is not what happens. The transition is smooth. In all actuality, many people once they're translated, are completely surprised to discover that they are not where they think they are. All of this animal superstition that creeps through even your greatest literature does not do the transition any justice.

As concerns the Teaching Mission and having to come to its defense, after 20 years of a profound presence in this country it is interesting to hear that there are those models that still see it in themselves to take it to task. And what exactly are you taking to task, that someone might be receiving information that is helpful to them, that those in the Teaching Mission are not necessarily proselytizing, for sometimes it is just something else that exists that annoys another person because someone else may be finding fulfillment. Luckily you live on a world where there are many choices, many choices to entertain, to choose, to follow. Even the thinning of the ranks in the Teaching Mission is somewhat of a disappointment, yet we are thankful for the few who still take charge of the task to communicate with spirit, to transcribe the transmissions and to make them available for others to peruse, that calls such as this, conference calls, are possible for those that physically cannot get together as a group.

You know it is not necessarily important that all people attempt a spiritual life, to become spiritually responsible and even between those that are attempting there is probably tremendous discrepancy between individuals. But, when a belief system can bring you to understanding, respect and love for another and respect for yourself in all situations, then you are working with something which truly tends to set you apart individually, bring you into a certain realm of peace and understanding and this ideally is what a spiritual process or spiritual direction in life does. It is something you cannot just talk about, it is something that has to become active that you decide upon and it is something you act out responsibly. Maybe some are not ready for the responsibility, the rigorous demands which a spiritual path demands.You come to understand that you have a strong sense that you must act upon what you feel is right, what you feel is true and honest and you have to act upon what you are being told whether or not what you are being told is entirely different from what anyone else is being told. You have to learn to trust your own discerning guidance.

The interesting thing about something of the nature of the Urantia Papers is that the Urantia Papers details in more detail life after death. It talks about the morontia life, it talks about the morontia bodies, the morontia material, the morontia mind, it talks about morontia mota. It talks about things you will be walking into, any minute you could be walking into this. The thing is that by discerning and understanding, you could be addressing some of these issues and problems right now as we speak. You can be working towards bringing in a morontia sense of mind into your soul, a sense of correction, a sense of understanding, of reasoning, of also surrendering to the understanding and becoming responsible for doing something about it, taking action. This is what happens in a mind that sees itself greater, sees the wholeness of the personality through the eyes of the Adjuster, yet on a day by day basis having to live with just who you are and not what you've become sometimes is a little disconcerting.

You know, the climb to the top of the mountain looks tremendously tedious but it starts one step at a time and before you know it you are taking the final steps to the top. This is what the spiritual life is like. It seems to be tremendously challenging to change anything in your life but until you attempt to begin to change one thing and when that one thing begins to change, then you can begin to shift other things in your life and in your personality. So these understandings are helpful in beginning to see yourself already having one foot on the other side, to begin to get a sense of the regimen, of the responsibility that you will be faced with on the other side. You will not have the excuse of a poor physical body anymore. You will not have the excuse of a genetically deformed mind. You will not have the excuse of this human lethargy, this inability to move forward. You will be made as you were in the prime of your life again and initially having to address all of the issues of the human life, you can begin to start addressing these issues today. Put them in your soul mind, look at them through your soul eyes, begin to experience more of your life through the vision of your soul, through the connection of the Adjuster.

It is interesting what humans identify themselves as. If you are going to identify anything, it is important to identify with something that is permanent, something which, as your personality transcends the portal of death, something that goes through that doorway with you. Many times at different times in our life we get caught up in identifying ourselves with different things, people, money, prestige, power, we identify with a certain skill or task that we perform but ultimately we have to identify with who we truly are. If you are satisfied with who you truly are, you can move forward a lot easier than if there are things that you feel you need to correct, things you feel you still have to work on. As you begin to see yourself in your ideal sense, in your soul sense, you begin to see the parts of yourself which have light and the parts of yourself which do not have light, which you still need to work on to be able to see yourself in the contrast. To be able to see yourself in this contrast is quite effective. Trusting in what the Adjuster intends for you to work out is also important. Many times the Adjusters knows precisely what you need to be working on in the very moment.

So what I am saying is that it is possible now to begin to experience life within your soul, to begin to see the distance you have to travel in the recognition of your own true personality and to begin to address these issues here and now. In a certain sense, it has really never been possible before without the information in the Urantia Papers about the morontia life and the morontia worlds, that now you can begin to bring in the energy, bring in these concepts, bring in these thoughts and in the soul begin to see yourself in these places, begin to see yourself in these aspects. This has not been possible for some time on the planet. This is an opportunity, it is new territory, new territory for you to discover, discover something personally for yourself, maybe even help others discover something about themselves. I am just making it aware to you that this is possible.

There is a co-creative effort with spirit. Those of you who have been in the Teaching Mission for any length of time know this through your own efforts at discovering the Presence within and beginning to listen to what spirit has to say and how spirit sees things and how spirit sees things for humans. Spirit is not necessarily concerned about how these things are possible but that these things are possible. It is more the responsibility of spirit to make you aware of these things. That you can connect individually with spirit and allow you to find your own connection to spirit is just as important because this way you have a truly personal experience of it.

Only you can begin to discern if spirit is answering your prayer, is answering what you seek, what you ask for, what your heart's desire is. It is only you who can discern this for yourself. No one else can discern these things for you. The quality of spiritual life that you are experiencing has to do with personal effort. How much effort are you putting into the process of living the spiritual life, a life free from gross fear, a life free from abject poverty, and I'm speaking about mental poverty, the kind of poor quality of mind. I'm speaking to the mind that is able to look into the soul and see the grandeur of everything, to see the eternal nature of now.

Heavenletter #4750 What Dreams May Be, November 26, 2013

God said:

If you remember only one thing of what I tell you, remember that dreams come true. What is beyond your dreams also comes true. What you did not yet dare dream of also comes true. All you desire can come true.

The other side of this is that your dreams are not obligated to come true. You are you whether your dreams come true right now or not. Long-lasting dreams not yet fulfilled also do wonders for you. Set your sights high, and let go. Nothing has to happen. So you hold fast to dreams at the same time as you let them go.

Of course, you want more than the dream. You want the dream to manifest, and you want it now. Dreams have their own desires and come true in their own time. First, the dream. The dream itself is powerful. Dream big! Dream great dreams.

It is vital that you dream and so get ahead of yourself. First the dream and then reaching it, or, rather, inviting the dream to reach you.

By dream, I do not mean wishful thinking. I mean a dream that you can feel and see and drink and be nourished by. I am talking about the vitamins and minerals of dreams that come from the dreams themselves. Dream, and don’t hold on.

A dreamer is his own dream. Dream great things. Dream Greatness, and you will become it. Let your dreams be your guide. Conscience is not part of your dreams. Dreams come to you. You do their bidding. .
Of course, dream what might be called little dreams as well, a good meal tonight, a meeting with a friend, some happiness on the way. Your life is paved with dreams, beloveds. Dreams are your stepping-stones. They are the ladder you climb. While you are at it, dream for something wonderful. Dream a new picture of yourself.

What are called realistic dreams have their place, yet, in no way do you want to be bound to only realistic dreams. Dream what your heart wants to dream, and then dream some more. Dreams are not far out unless you say they are. It is not necessary for you to say that any one of your dreams can’t come true. Dreams can come true right in front of your eyes.

Have the dreams that your heart desires. Have your dreams. It’s a fine line you walk when it comes to what you wish for others. You may wish your daughter to become President of the U.S. or Miss America. She may not want to be either. A college professor may wish his son to follow in his footsteps, yet his son wants to be a fisherman on the coast of Maine. Desire that your children’s dreams come true. Dreams are not to be controlled substances.

As for your dreams, dream them. Dreams that you can act on, act on them. Dreams are not to be idle. If you want to be an actor, paint sets for a regional theater. Begin.

Sometimes beginning is thinking. Of course, dreaming is thinking as well and picturing and imagining. Oh, yes, if your dream is to dance, see yourself dancing on Broadway or in a ballet. Take on the movement and the grace. If you dream to be an author, write now. Practice what you dream.

If you desire great wealth, start feeling like a person of great wealth. When you have great wealth, what will you do with it? Perhaps you will be a great benefactor. Now be a benefactor on a different scale, and keep dreaming your dream.

And if one dream fades, that’s just fine too. Now another dream awaits you. Dreams are calling to you. Answer them.

Subject: “Techniques for Receiving Divine Guidance - Part 1.”

Teacher Ophelius: “Today’s message is about receiving guidance from within, for this form of spiritual communication is something most everyone experiences to greater or lesser degrees, yet all will receive some form of divine guidance whether they are aware of its source or not. You students on the path can learn how to become more aware of this divine input by practicing a few techniques to allow your conscious mind to notice the difference between your own thoughts and the leadings of your Indwelling Spirit, Guides, or Guardians. Most of you will be surprised at how much information is directed toward you for the growth of your soul or for the benefit of others, and when you learn to recognize it, you can benefit even more because you are less likely to dismiss its gentle prompting.

“Whenever you wish to receive divine guidance, you need to prepare your mind for spiritual input. The animal mind, with its electrochemical operating system, is not optimally ‘tuned’ for spiritual input because its normal state of awareness works in layers. The first layer of consciousness is primarily concerned with terrestrial input – the interpretation of events that are stimulated by the sensory organs: vision, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. This type of stimulation produces a chemical release in the brain which allows electrical energy to travel the neuron pathways of the body in response to the various kinds of sensory input. This first layer of consciousness is the primary interface of awareness through which all input, sensory, subconscious, or super-conscious must pass before you may process it in the brain and make decisions.

“The second layer, the sub-consciousness, seeds the first layer and influences conscious decision making through the circuits of the Adjutant Mind Spirits: intuition, understanding, courage, knowledge, counsel, worship, and wisdom. These are like radio stations from the Mother Spirit that broadcast their influence to the subconscious mind and which will find lodgment in the first layer as it ‘seeps in’ like water through a sieve. This second layer of consciousness is vibrational, which requires that the first layer interpret those vibrations, and turn them into electrochemical responses. This is also true for the third layer.

“The third layer is the Super-consciousness. This is the ‘soul mind’ and this is where the Indwelling Spirit operates coordinating all spiritual input. This layer is the farthest removed from the conscious mind and of the highest vibration and so it is the most difficult to be interpreted by the first layer, the conscious mind. Like the second layer, it also ‘seeps in’ yet only when the first layer is conditioned to receive its gentle voice. It is to this ‘conditioning’ that we would like to direct your attention. Those who live life on the surface and are spiritually unaware have yet to condition their minds for spiritual input, because they have nearly filled the conscious mind to capacity with terrestrial stimuli.

“In order to open the pores of the first layer to receive the higher, finer vibrations of the third layer, you have to ‘consciously’ elevate your mood and thoughts (raise your vibration) to receive spiritual input. We will speak about the steps necessary to prepare the mind for third-layer input in Part 2 of this message.

We are here to embrace you as you continue to anchor the energies of great change into your reality. We can sense your fatigue in dealing with the struggles that are before you.
We acknowledge that you have done this work and service for eons of time. You have repeatedly stepped into this dimension and this earth plane of physical manifestation to truly assist and support the lifting up and the transformation of misqualified energy.
You are aware of this and you continue to offer your own experience and emotions into the caldron of change. It is your dedicated service and awakened consciousness that is beginning to experience your own spiritual authority.
You are a being of great light and galactic heritage. It is time to claim ownership of your personal sovereignty. It is time that you allow yourself to remember who you truly are. A starbeing, encoded with the wisdom and the understanding that you are here on planet Earth to advocate, champion, encourage and promote life sustaining actions.
You have codes that have rendered you as victim, as servant, as somehow less than.
Now is the time for you to be impeccably honest with yourself. Begin to investigate your beliefs, who gave them to you, where did you acquire them, notice how they became a part of how you view the world. These limited beliefs have colored how you act and react to your everyday life. They have limited you and held you back from experiencing a world which is loving, supportive, nurturing and fulfilling.
If there is a limited belief in any area of your experience it is a false belief. You are unlimited; you are a multidimensional galactic being of ineffable cosmic intelligence.
It is your time to step into that understanding. Your actions and your knowledge are needed to support the true transformation of humanity.
Be gentle yet firm with yourself as you investigate any limited expression of who you think you are. Remember you are divine consciousness manifest in physical form. It is that physical form, your body, that allows you to interface with this dimension and this dense reality, yet you know that is only one small aspect of who you are. We will agree that while you are reading these words and accepting our invitation to review your perceptions and beliefs, it is this physical aspect that holds your focus.
Begin to embrace that you are always in several dimensions and timeframes simultaneously. Breathe that truth into every cell. Begin to own this truth in a way that your DNA is influenced.
Let’s us suggest that your DNA is a biological internet which processes information from your physical reality as well as from the universe. It is the DNA which allows you to access cosmic consciousness and supports your expanded awareness and understanding of yourself as a galactic being.
The DNA resides within the nucleus of every cell of your physical body. Now consider that there are over 100 trillion cells within your body. DNA is responsible for the function of every one of those 100 trillion cells. DNA is a genetic blueprint for every aspect of your physical form and it is also carries the galactic blueprint for your celestial form and aspect.
Your scientists are beginning to share their finding that DNA can be programmed. You as a multidimensional being can begin to activate light codes within your own personal DNA. Biologists have discovered that your DNA is and can be affected by the emotional vibrations that you are experiencing and offering. Your emotional vibrations either allow this energy to bathe each cell or hinder this life force. Emotions such as fear, anger, guilt, judgment or blame close off a cell’s receptivity to this life giving energy.
So it is especially powerful when you place your awareness and focus on your heart center and generate feelings of gratitude and appreciation as well as joy. Every cell is bathed in this influential force of coherent vibrations. Every cell is nurtured by the energy of divine consciousness flowing freely. Every aspect of your physical body is renewed and allowed to expand and open to the incredible possibilities the universe is offering.
When this is continually practiced with clear intention and dedication, the DNA that is so called “asleep” is activated and portals or doorways to the higher dimensions become available. Galactic wisdom and the understanding of your true nature begin to be revealed.
This recognition comes to you as a true star being, here to experience this dense reality and to be a part of a new understanding and consciousness coming forth for all. Consider, imagine and allow the thought that you are the carrier of genetic patterns from the galactic families for not only does your DNA carry codes and blueprints from your physical ancestors, it also carries DNA codes of your galactic ancestors.
It is time for you to own and acknowledge yourself as a being of pure conscious energy who happens to be dwelling in a physical body seemingly locked in a certain time frame and a certain dimension. Let us offer a simple example: consider your automobile; it takes you from place to place, yet you can park this vehicle and move about in totally different locations without this automobile.
We invite you to begin to practice parking your physical body in a safe place and begin to allow yourself to energetically move to totally different locations, time frames and dimensions. Use your imagination here, play with this suggestion, and engage in the possibilities. Practice altering your consciousness which allows for the opportunity to journey into new realms. Remember you are a member of high standing in the celestial realms, you are multidimensional, you carry DNA patterns from the stars.
Also begin to consciously support and enrich your energy body. Imagine drinking in the force field offered by nature, or the night sky. Consciously offer gratitude from your heart to your divine self, your higher consciousness, this process opens the portal for you to welcome more light energy into your physical body which also strengthens your light body. And it is with your light body, your conscious vehicle, that you travel wherever you place your focus. It just takes a little practice. It just take willingness to let go of the programmed limited beliefs that would keep you tethered to what you think is real.
We honor you as a member of the galactic family, here to support and assist in the transformation of consciousness and graduate to a higher dimension without so many limitations and restrictions. Welcome and allow your codes of light held within your DNA to be triggered and activated. Bathe your cells and your energy body with conscious love, gratitude and acceptance. Invite this as often as possible. Focus on this and call it forth. Now is the time. Remember you are not a victim, you are a victor.
In deep gratitude for your daily service to this unfolding. Your evolution is being supported and witnessed by the entire galaxy. Acknowledge yourself for your work in transforming any challenge or limited beliefs about self and who you truly are in the calling forth and anchoring a reality that is life sustaining.
We acknowledge you and offer our support in this cosmic drama in which you are playing an important role. Never underestimate yourself; when in partnership with your multidimensional aspect and awareness you are powerful beyond measure.
