It is with great christed blessing that I greet and honour your presence with me now. I am Lady Nada, Chohan and overseer of the 8th Ray of Light of a sea foam green light and higher aspect of Mary Magdalene. I come forth to you with immense volumes of love from the Angelic Kingdom and the Lord and Lady Masters of the Celestial Level supporting my being and purpose in this present moment. The support I receive is channelled through my being to you as you are the ultimate receiver of the divine.

Have you ever thought of yourself as an ultimate receiver of the divine? Have you thought it could be your purpose and is important for you to recognise yourself as a receiver of the divine? The vibrations of the divine are so vast, expansive and creative and yet so familiar to you. Your entire being is accustomed to receiving the divine on all levels of your being but your awareness and mind now needs to become conscious of your ability and purpose to receive the divine so you may experience this ability and existence with greater power within your reality. Much of spiritual evolution, self-awareness and connection with the Creator are all about recognising and being conscious of all that you already are. This is important because at some level you need to bring forth greater recognition of yourself as the divine in order to experience it in the physical reality. The physical reality has a powerful lesson that it wealds for all souls who embark on a reality upon the Earth. You are asked to recognise and become conscious of yourself and all aspects of the divine within you, without recognition manifestation and experience will not become possible within your reality. Your physical reality is encouraging you to recognise, become aware and conscious of your truth, as it is through recognition that you can experience the divine every moment of your reality.

Many souls of the Earth with their earthly consciousness ask me why must we rediscover all that is already within us? Surely at one level we know all the truth of the divine within us so why do we need to rediscover once more? My answer is always that the physical reality asks and encourages you to manifest, to bring energy and thought into matter, you are born with the ability to do so, it is a natural skill every being possess but the physical reality asks you to govern and master this ability from the deepest space of divine truth within your being. Thus you embark on a journey of self or divine discovery because in order to manifest and experience your divine truth you must first be able to recognise it. Recognition can come in the form of understanding, feeling, grasping, sensing or simply knowing; it doesn't have to be a mental or logical process. With the purpose of the physical reality in mind it may be easy to recognise yourself as a receiver of the divine. The divine is already within you it is not so much that you are receiving it from outside of yourself but more so you are receiving and recognising it from within your being. You are receiving the divine so therefore making the divine manifest upon the Earth as if gifting the awareness and recognition of the divine to the Earth and humanity. Through the process of receiving you are manifesting as your truth because everything you encounter impacts upon your energy. Being able to accept that you are a divine receiver allows you to realise how important and crucial you are as a soul currently existing upon the Earth.

You may wish to affirm: 'I am an ultimate divine receiver of the bliss, abundance, love and truth of the Creator.'

Let the truth of this statement rest with you, empower you and assist you in realising that you are already achieving your divine purpose just by being present upon the Earth.

You also have the ability to receive all you wish from the Creator and so this is why I come forth to you sharing my energy and the support given to me with you. I have been appointed with a very important task which is aligned with my already realised purpose. It is my purpose to support souls to cleanse, purify and heal their beings on all levels in order to make space for greater realisations and recognitions of the Creator. Cleansing and purification are my greatest focus with the purpose of manifesting love when I work with souls. With this in mind it isn't surprising that the Creator and the Lord and Lady Masters of the Celestial level have guided me to bring forth a deep purification process to those who are ready to receive. This purification healing is not being sent to humanity in general as a wave of light, but is available for those who choose to receive because of its potency. Every soul will choose to receive this purification healing but only those who are ready will choose to receive it consciously and with awareness of that which is taking place.

This purification healing began at the beginning of 2014 but is only now filtering into the physical realms, for some time I have been working with inner plane souls and even with your soul on an inner plane level but now is the time of conscious awareness and receiving in order to bring the gift of the results of the experience into the Earthly vibrations. This purification healing is born from my own energies, soul and heart supporting the cleansing and purification of your being in order to bring freedom to your reality and spiritual expression. The vibrations cleanse all residue energies of the old era before the era of love; purifying self-inflicted suffering, blockages and illusions within your mental process and mind, karmic energies which you cling to even though they may have been already released, sadness and pain born from fear and illusion, stress born from instability and lack of trust and the fear of fear itself. This is a very powerful purification healing as it will remove and dissolve much baggage and debris as if lightening your energy to bring a greater sense of expansion and acceptance of love. My purification healing will work with you personally bringing freedom to your energy so you no longer feel trapped or helpless but realise you can support and nurture yourself as you are a powerful soul and receiver of the divine Creator. From this purification healing your inner radiance and luminosity will emerge. You may feel more radiant and luminous in many different areas of your being. You may perceive that this outcome is very poor as greater results may be expected but think for a moment what it is like to be radiant and luminous. Doesn't it mean you are emanating the divine within you with greater freedom; you are emanating love, joy happiness, light and are acting as a magnet for all you wish to receive, recognise and experience within your reality. I am offering to you a process of purification to support your acceptance of your freedom of your expression of the divine. Please note I can only support you, the pinnacle aspect of the process is your acceptance within so many aspect of your being.

A pearl of your own soul's radiance and luminosity will be brought forth to you for you to recognise, accept and integrate.

'Lady Nada, I am now ready to consciously receive and experience your purification and cleansing process supported by the Angelic Kingdom and the Lord and Lady Masters of the Celestial levels. I am ready to work with your energies to purify, cleanse and heal all residue energies of the old era before the era of love; purifying self-inflicted suffering, blockages and illusions within my mental process and mind, karmic energies which I cling to even though they may have been already released, sadness and pain born from fear and illusion, stress born from instability and lack of trust and the fear of fear itself. Lady Nada I emanate the love of my being to you and know I am connected to all that is the Creator. '

Imagine before you my heart, Lady Nada, opening like a vast vortex of sea form green, pink, white and golden light before you. Step into this vortex of deep love, purification and cleansing, the energy is vibrating at a quick speed as it surrounds you completely.)

'Lady Nada, please bring forth from my being for me to receive, recognise and experience a pearl of my own soul's radiance and luminosity resting in my heart chakra. I now accept my pearl of my soul's radiance and luminosity, entering with awareness into the centre of the pearl to experience my own radiance and luminosity as it integrates and manifests within my entire being. Lady Nada please magnify and ground my experience. Thank you.'

God said:

I hear My children cry out:

“To God, dear God, I speak to You, and I know You hear me and You talk to me, and You love me. Why am I not the happiest person in the world? God, why aren’t I?”

I answer:

Habit. It is the premise you start from, that you do not have Me, that you have to attain. You have attained. You have attained Me. What you actually have attained is your awareness of Me, but not just of Me, of our Oneness. There is some residual within you of Our sitting across from each other that you like over Oneness. You have been alone so much in your life, and you love having a Companion like Me.

At the same time as you love Our Togetherness, you also love Our Oneness. Even as Our Relationship is Oneness, and you know it, you love to feel the softness of silk between your finger, and you, also love to feel the lesser softness of linen. You feel you would miss the linen, and you may want to keep it as long as you can.

You want Everything which is Oneness, yet you want the diversion of multiplicity. You want to face Me, as it were, more than you want to be the Foundation of the Universe. You are hesitant about power. Power may have a connotation that you are less than comfortable with. There is part of you that wants to look up to a taller Power, and have you shorter.

So, even as you like to look across at Me, you very much like to look up at Me.

You like having a Great Father in Heaven. In your mind, to ensure that, you must then be at a distance, even a short distance. In that sense, it is not all that easy for you to let Me in. At the same time, you have let Me in. You have gathered Me up in your arms, yet, you have not yet wholly embraced Me for fear of losing yourself.

At the same time, you have not put Me down either. You keep Me held between Heaven and Earth when, all the while, you are destined to come with Me to Heaven in this lifetime of yours as My Companion here, My intimate Self here. It is not that you have renounced Heaven, yet you hold it aside for a little while. You want a little more of Me while you see yourself as you think you are.

Be sure to grasp that I am not talking about the death of your body. I am talking about Our Oneness even as your body carries you. Still, there is something within you that cries out to be individual and to stay a seeker. You like the chase. You like the expectation of being found. Yes, you like expectation. You don’t quite yet fully welcome the sense of the chase being over. Not that it would be a let-down to be with Me as One, yet you don’t quite yet want to leave a realm that is so familiar to you regardless of how you may complain about it.

You would like to keep your feet in two boats. You do not yet quite want to leap over the rainbow. You may think you don’t like relative life all that much, and yet you cling to it, as if you are saying:

“Just a little longer. Just for a little longer, God, let me be a human being who struggles rather than a human being who has transcended struggle and gained full residency in the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Do you imagine that in order to join Me, you would be losing your place in the Sun?

Whatever you may believe, you love the circularity of Earth Life very much. Nevertheless, very soon, you will take My hand and you will say:

“God, I am ready. I am ready to restore myself to my rightful place which is entirely with You. It’s not that I will leave myself in the dust. I will be joining My Self. I won’t be giving my identity away. I will be gaining my True Identity, and joining, as it were, a cast of thousands who have lost their fear of Oneness and become One with You, God. I will be joining Reality, not an abyss. I must give up my fear of the Unknown. It is not even Unknown. I fear the Silence that knows no bounds. I do not have to feel like I am giving up anything, for Heaven has always been my Home. It is where I belong, absorbed in You, God and Your Love. This is where I find my Self.”

Beloveds, it’s not that you disappear. It is that you finally appear as you are. In any case, you and I will be enjoined in your growing awareness soon enough. Come to Me. Here I AM.

Self-Surrender

Surrender is ishvarapranidhana - the devotee consecrates all his works and their fruits to the Lord. The devotee has no will of his own. He says unto the Lord, "I am thine. All is thine. Thy will be done. I am an instrument in thy hands." In surrendering one's will to the Lord, his will becomes one with the cosmic will. He becomes one with the Lord. There is no loss in surrendering one's will to the Lord.

Self-surrender is complete surrender of the Self to God. Self-surrender makes the devotee feel the reality of divine grace and the Lord's readiness to bestow help on him at all times. The divine influence streams into his being and moulds it to make it a fit medium for divine realisation and divine instrumentality.

Surrender and grace are interrelated. Surrender draws down grace and grace makes surrender complete. Surrender starts the purification of the heart and grace completes it. Without grace complete unification is not possible. Grace divinises your being in order that the constant inflow and inspiration can be received and retained. It is through divine grace alone that one's whole being is galvanised and rejuvenated.

The self-arrogating little ego perishists and resists again and again. It clings leech-like to old habits, cravings and desires. It wages guerilla war; it resists surrender. It demands certain objects for its secret gratification. The whole being should be surrendered. That is the reason why Lord Krishna says: "tameva saranam gaccha sarvabhavena bharata, (flee unto Him for shelter with all thy being, O Bharata)". The chitta, the ego, the mind, the intellect and the soul, should all be placed at the feet of the Lord. Mira did this and so obtained the grace of Lord Krishna and became one with him.

The vulgar, stiff, obstinate ego is harder than diamond, reinforced concrete or steel. It is very difficult to melt it. Constant vigilance and ceaseless effort are necessary to slay this dire enemy of peace and wisdom. It keeps subtle desires for its own silent appeasement. Introspect. Find out the subtle desires that lurk in the corners of your heart through the search-light of concentration and discrimination. Kill them through regular, silent meditation.

Satsang Bhavan Lectures of Swami Sivananda

CHAPTER 1: THE SUPREME TRUTH

1. The Nature of Brahman / 2. Nature of God or Brahman / 3. Existentialism

1. NATURE OF BRAHMAN

God is saupadhika, with upadhi. His upadhi is maya. This is his karana sareera. 'Upadhi' is that which limits. It is a limiting adjunct. The upadhi of jiva is the body and mind. The upadhi of pot-ether is pot. When the pot is broken, the pot-ether becomes one with the universal ether.

Parabrahman is nirupadhika. No upadhi is there. He projects himself as Ishwara for pious meditation of devotees. Brahman is nitya, nirupadhika, niratisayananda. There is no bliss as Brahman. So it is called niratisayananda. There are various kinds of happiness in this world, but the highest happiness, niratisayananda, belongs to Parabrahman. It is its nature.

The body of God is aprakritika. It is not made of prakriti. It is chinmaya. Knowledge itself is his body. Bliss itself is his body. Peace itself is his body.

God does not work with any instruments. A potter needs instruments—a potter's wheel—and clay. But in the case of God, he simply wills, the world comes into being. His will is omnipotent.

Brahman is akarta, abhokta, asanga, sakshi. He is not affected by the good and evil of the jivas. Though he is the indweller, the indwelling presence in all beings, he is not affected. So he is asakta, abhokta, asanga, sakshi. There are two birds in the tree of the body. One eats the fruits and is bound. One fruit, almond, is bitter. One almond is sweet. But Ishwar or the Lord does not eat the fruits, so He is ever blissful, happy, not bound by karmas. But jiva is bound by karmas, because he expects fruits.

God is paripoorna, all full. The world is apoorna, not full. So there is misery, there is sorrow, there is pain, there is death. In a paripoorna being there is neither birth, nor death, nor sorrow, nor pain. That is the reason why we have to strive for attaining the paripoorna being. There only all diseases, pain and sorrow melt. There is perpetual happiness, eternal bliss, immortal joy.

Brahman is akasavat sarvagata nitya. In this world the thing that can be compared to Brahman is akasa, not because akasa is conscious, existence, knowledge, but because akasa is subtle, sukshma. So it is compared to Brahman, Brahman is ati-sukshma, most subtle. Water is subtler than earth. Fire is subtler than water. Air is subtler than fire. Akasa is subtler than air. More subtle is prana. Still more subtle is mind. And still subtler is Parabrahman. Anoraniyan mahato maheevan—smaller than the smallest and greater than the greatest is Brahman. Bahirantascha bhutanam acharam charameva cha, sukshmatvat tadavijneyam, doorastham cha antike cha tat. He is within and without. He is chara and achara. Because of his highest subtlety, we are not able to realise him. He is very near. He is the indweller. He is far also. He is far for those who have no discrimination, no dispassion, who are not endowed with the four means, but it is near to those who are endowed with the divine qualities, abhayam, sattvasamsuddhih. straight-forwardness, humility, cosmic love, devotion to guru. He is desa-kala-vivarjita, niralamba, gaganasadrisha. He is compared to ether. There is no support for ether. Even so he rests on his own glory. He is all-pervading like ether. He is atisukshma. He is eternal, homogeneous, without beginning, without end, infinite, eternal. That is the reason why you have to attain the Infinite Being wherein only you will find eternal happiness. An infinite vastu, can be an all-pervading substance, all permeating, interpenetrating like warp and woof.

So let us attain this most subtle vastu, nearer to us, than the Jugular vein, nearer than the breath, all pervading innermost self. He is hidden by the veil of ignorance, which assumes various forms, of lust, greed, hatred. So let us remove this veil of ignorance through sravan, manan, nidhidhyasan (enquiry, reflection, meditation) and rest on our own satchidananda swaroopa. That is the goal. That is the summum bonum.

2. NATURE OF GOD OR BRAHMAN

God is swayam bhu, self-existent. He does not depend upon others for His existence. He is swayam-prakas or swayam-jyoti, self-luminous. He does not want any light to revel him. He reveals himself by his own light. God is swata-siddha, self-proved. He does not want any proof, because he is the basis for the act or process of proving. God is paripoorna, self-contained. He contains everything in himself. The entire universe is in him. God is swasamvedya. He knows by himself.

God is so subtle that we cannot see him with our physical eyes. That does not mean that he is not existent. In the daylight-light you cannot see the stars. That does not mean the stars do not exist. At night you do not see the sun. That does not mean the sun does not exist, for in the early morning it rises again.

When there is ash, you cannot see the fire. That does not mean the fire does not exist. Remove the ash, the fire again blazes forth. Remove the veil of ignorance, remove the egoism, Brahman shines forth, reveals Itself.

You do not see the butter in milk. That does not mean that there is no butter in milk. Covert it into curd, churn, you get the butter. Even so, through the churning of meditation, you can behold the self.

You cannot see prana. That does not mean that prana does not exist.

Prana only functions, all the bodily functions are made possible only by the vibrations of prana. But you do not see prana. You cannot see the mind. That does not mean that the mind does not exist. It is through mind that you think, decide, feel, will and remember. You cannot see vapour. But vapour exists.

Beat a man and ask him, "Show me the pain." He cannot show you his pain. But he experiences the pain. Even so, God cannot be shown, but has to be experienced by every one.

3. EXISTENTIALISM

Dr. Boss of Zurich University, Switzerland, who is in India as visiting psychiatrist, and Dr. Norell, psychiatrist at the Psychiatric Centre, Lucknow, arrived at the ashram yesterday on a short visit. At tonight's satsang Dr. Boss spoke on psycho-therapy and also about his belief in existentialism. Dr. Norell also spoke about psycho-therapy and the development of the Psychiatric Centre at Lucknow. Soon after Dr. Boss concluded his speech, Swamiji said:

We are very thankful to our great doctor for his illuminating discourses on psycho-therapy and psycho-analysis. We should drive off the neurosis of dullness, tamo guna, by developing rajas. First we should develop rajas and then satwa. That is one lesson we have learned. The second lesson is to give up these worldly drives and take a drive direct to the heart of Parabrahman. Take a direct drive to Parabrahman, to the ultimate reality, wherein all drives stop, all names and forms vanish, and then you rest in your satchidananda swaroopa, existence-knowledge-bliss. That is anamaya, diseaseless. That is his second teaching. The third teaching is to find out what is the significance of 'is'. The chair is, the light is, the harmonium is. The 'is' has a significance. It is existence. Vedanta puts it as: kevala asti. So existentialism agrees with vedanta. Everything has existence. You burn a timber. Then the ash exists. Your real nature is existence. Brahman is existence-consciousness. A stone exists, but there is no consciousness. But the absolute reality not only exists, but there is consciousness, and where there are existence and consciousness, there is eternal bliss. Vedanta calls it as satchidananda. You are not the body and mind, but existence, knowledge and bliss absolute.

At the conclusion of Dr. Norell's speech, Swamiji said, "The world is in need of more psychiatric centres and more doctors like Boss and Norell. You come across in Yoga Vasishta: adhi-vyadhi. All diseases take their origin in the mind. There is no disease that takes its origin from the body. Every disease first originates in the mind, and then it is transferred to the body, because body is the mould prepared by the mind. Body is only an extension of the mind and senses are also extensions of the mind. If the adhi is treated, the vyadhi will automatically be treated. If the mind is in a perfect condition, you will have absolutely good health. So thanks to psychiatric doctors who are doing good to the world. Nowadays every hospital has got a psychiatric department. They have found out that drugs will not do good to the mind, and therefore they are now curing diseases with psycho-therapy.

We are thankful to Dr. Boss and Dr. Norell. May they live long. May Lord bless them with health, long life, peace, bliss and prosperity."
