Heavenletter #5021 Marching in a Merry Parade, August 24, 2014

God said:

How bizarre is life on Earth! Who could think of all this mish-mash? What an amazing knitting a story of life is. Every day is a story. There are so many plots and sub-plots, so many characters walking in and out. Like waves and the sands of time, the stories of life weave in, and the stories weave out, and there is a new cast of characters, and the world continues. Gone are the yesteryears and the future is not here yet, in terms of the world, that is. Every day there is a new future pronounced, and you can never get ahead. Coincidentally, there is no past either. The waves wash away the concepts of future and past.

Busy busy is life on Earth. There is a lot of scrambling around. Priorities are all mixed together, and everyone on Earth has mixed opinions, and life never really gets sorted out. On Earth, there is no figuring out life. Just when you think you may have it figured out, there is a big swoosh of new life. You can’t catch up. Willy-nilly, you can’t really get behind although you may think so. You are right up-to-date.

Plenty seems to go wrong with life, yet life is never wrong. Life is what it is. How can it be wrong? It may not be what you desire, yet life is as it shows up.

We can consider that life is a long meditation with movement and emotion running through it. There is going to sleep, and there is waking up, and there is dreaming in sleep, and there is day-dreaming as well. Life is bizarre.

Nevertheless, life is such an enjoyable exciting time to spend and expend your time. It is a once-in-a-million opportunity. It is the Greatest Show on Earth.

Who could imagine all the varieties of experience and unrepeatable cast of characters, no two alike. It’s uncanny. Life is like an Easter Parade, yet bigger than an Easter Parade, more fantastic as it circles the Earth with planets and stars following its girth.

And the ages of the centuries. The styles of clothes! The styles of manners. The styles of education. The preposterous mores that go on, the cultures, all thinking so highly of themselves, the preponderance of hard work punctuated with easy living.

Life is like a ball that rolls down the street. It keeps going until it stops of its own accord, or something stops it. At the same time, it seems that life has no time to take a breath. Life is in such a hurry to finish itself.

And, then, there are the doldrums of life where life seems to stretch out like a long clown mouth, seemingly going on forever until it doesn’t any longer.

And love -- never the same in the world again. There will never be such a love again, and you begin to think such a love never was. Yet love seems to be irreplaceable even as it seems to run off somewhere, taking your heart along with it and leaving your heart in the lurch. You are sure you will never love again, and you don’t until the next time.

In love, couples marry. And out of love, couples divorce. True love sometimes seems to be only in books and plays. Flirtation may exist. It brightens life for a while. Life abounds with surprises. Life will take you up on anything. Sometimes the thoughts you have -- you do not want to be responsible for them, yet you don’t know how to get away from them. Your thoughts run away with you. They take you on an escapade.

And, then, there you are marching in that Merry Parade, and what do you care about anything  but the parade you are marching in today. You march for Life. Life tells you how to step and how to step high and when to put your foot down.

A Challenging and Enlightening New Moon
Posted on August 23, 2014 in Configurations | [P]
By Henry Seltzer for Astrograph Astrology

The Virgo New Moon, taking place early on Monday morning, is a powerful one, bringing an essentially spiritual quest into up close and personal connection with our more ordinary material pursuits, and providing moments of startling clarity. This is because, as the energy peaks in the first few degrees of this mutable Earth sign, implying new beginnings of a grounded and practical kind, there are also many outer planet connections made to personal planets. The New Moon is opposite toNeptune, while Venus in mid-Leo trines Uranus and squaresSaturn and Mars. Meanwhile, Mercury at 17+ degrees of Virgo, near the Sun and Moon, is sextile to Saturn and Mars and opposes Chiron. Mars makes an extremely close conjunction with Saturn, within a sixth of a degree, just at the timing of this New Moon.

Uranus and Saturn have been in close alignment since July, and are still only about a degree and a half apart from a perfect inconjunct, or 150-degree aspect with each other. With this accent of inner planet correspondences, their antithetical collision of archetypal meanings becomes palpable. Saturn represents the limitations and restrictions of earthly arrangements, while the trickster energy of Uranus takes us further and further away from the grounding of the here-and-now, closer to the almost unimaginable heavens for which it is named. While becoming confused and uncertain about our everyday affairs, especially with Neptune so powerfully invoked, we do perceive much more clearly in an intuitional way, even though we might have to close our physical eyes to see this.

The net result is that, at this Monday morning New Moon time, and in the week and even the month that follows, while you are likely to become rather more frustrated than less in dealing with practical life issues, you are all the better for it spiritually. This is especially so when you expand your outlook to include the miracle of these sorts of inner results and begin to count them as important.

Then, too, relationship issues are extremely likely to come up as well, perhaps forming a big part of our learning curve, as symbolized by Venus and Mars in square and closely aspected by Uranus and Saturn. There will be unexpected events and surprising enlightenment, all the more surprising because arising out of the darkness that precedes the dawn.

The Sabian Symbols for this New Moon, and for the Venus and the Mars degrees, are transcendently affirmative. For the Sun and Moon, in the 3rd degree of Virgo, we find: "Two angels bringing protection," which Marc Edmund Jones relates to "effective fulfillment of [our] dreams." For the Venus degree, in Leo, we have: "A volunteer church choir," a symbol wherein we humans get to stand up and be counted with the encouraging angels. For the 18th degree of Scorpio, where we encounter Mars and also Saturn, there is: "A woods rich in autumn coloring." This symbol reminds us that, like the leaves, as we turn ourselves away from earthly pleasure we have even greater ability to shine forth in unearthly radiance. It was William Butler Yeats who stated, almost a hundred years ago, that "An agèd man is but a paltry thing/ a tattered cloak upon a stick/ unless soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing/ for every tatter in its mortal dress." We are these aging humans, these dying leaves, subject to the vicissitudes of earthly disaster. And yet we sing.

MARY MAGDALENE: Understanding Soul Groups

512px-Anonymous_Cusco_School_-_The_family_of_Christ_Child_with_the_imprisoned_soul_of_Divine_Love_-_Google_Art_Project

Received by Mercedes Kirkel

Question: Can you help me understand the individual connection I feel with you (Mary Magdalene) and Yeshua? I know we’re all connected, but this feels deeper than that. I don’t know if it’s my ego or if there is something more there.

Mary Magdalene: This is not something to question. It is real.

The physics of how these things work are quite complex, as you may already be aware. There are many levels of connection that beings can experience. Most often, with the type of connection I believe you’re talking about, this is a soul-level connection. You are part of a soul cluster and you are recognizing that. That is a beautiful and valuable thing to recognize and acknowledge.

Sadly, in your world there is oftentimes a discounting of the feelings that inform you of these kinds of connections. But truly, in your heart and in your higher self, you know if those feelings are true or not. The feelings that you are having are real. You will come to understand that more.

At the higher levels, souls come together in a very unified way, which is hard to explain to someone who is primarily experiencing the third dimension. At these higher levels, you still have a sense of your own soul connection. But depending on the level in which you are coming together, your unified field can be stronger. It may be more of the way you identify yourself, rather than through your individual soul nature. These unified groupings are soul families and soul groups.

There can be many beings who share this unified field and consciousness, and really, this unified being-ness. This is why there can be a number of people who say, “I feel like I was a particular being.” There are different explanations for this. It could have occurred as you actually being that individual soul. It could have occurred as you being connected through the physical realm—through ancestry—to that soul. It could have been through you having known that soul, being incarnated at the same time as that soul. But most often, most frequently, it is because you are soul family. That integration becomes a singular being at the higher levels. So there is an experience of very great . . . It’s beyond connection; it’s a oneness.

hen a part of yourself opens to that, you feel this incredible, profound connection to the being who is perhaps representing that soul group or soul family, who is the archetype that is best known of that soul group in your world. You will feel a powerful identification with that being.

Ultimately you know whether this is so within yourself. At the third dimension, it can be difficult to acknowledge this kind of connection to yourself or others, because there are many beliefs that this is not so, this is not possible, that anyone claiming this is sick, or deluded, or at least inflated in their ego and off-course in the spiritual path. There are many such beliefs. But the truth rests within yourself. Within yourself, you know.

Your Foremost Duty - Concentration
Sri Shankara writes that a man's duty consists in the control of the senses and the concentration of the mind. As long as one's thoughts are not thoroughly destroyed, through persistent practice, a man should ever be concentrating his mind on one truth at a time. Through such unremitting practice, one-pointedness will accrue and instantly all the hosts of thoughts will vanish. Concentration is opposed to sensuous desires, bliss to flurry and worry, sustained thinking to perplexity, applied thinking to sloth, and torpor and rapture to ill-will.
You are born to concentrate the mind on God after collecting the mental rays that are dissipated on various objects. This is your foremost duty, but you forget it on account of delusion for family, money, power, position, name and fame. Concentration of the mind on God after purification can give you real happiness and knowledge. You are born for this purpose only. Fix the mind on Atman, the all-pervading, pure intelligence and self-luminous effulgence. Stand firm in Brahman, then you will become established in Brahman.
Attention plays a great part in concentration. It is the basis of will. The force with which anything strikes the mind is generally in proportion to the degree of attention bestowed on it. Attention on any object may be either subjective (internal) or objective (external). Practise concentrating your attention on unpleasant tasks, upon uninteresting objects and ideas. Then many mental weaknesses will vanish and the mind will become stronger and stronger.
- - - - -
Do a thing that the mind does not want to do. Do not do a thing that the mind wants to do. Don't fulfil your desires; don't hope; don't expect. Destroy vicious desires through virtuous desires and then destroy the virtuous desires also, through one strong desire for liberation. Practice of pranayama destroys rajas (activity) and tamas (dullness) and makes the mind steady and one-pointed.
