Thought Adjuster: “Dear child, as you ready yourself to receive each morning, as you ‘ground, balance, and center’ your being, you are activating your personal antennae to receive and decode the divine signals that are sent your way.

“The Father is always available to His children through His myriad helpers in this universe and all universes, as all are friendly universes. Beyond the limits of your planet, the harmony of creation is more obvious to the beholders. You are starting your eternal journey on a grief-stricken planet, and yet, all is not that dismal. The contrasts you are experiencing add to the intensity of your personal experience and make it clearer to you in some paradoxical way as to where the Light resides.

“Isn’t it much easier to see a point of light in a dark place as it is in a sunlit one? Light blends in with light, but even the tiniest point of light breaks through the darkness to bring attention to itself. The Father sends a multitude of such points of light your way to guide you throughout your days. Sometimes, the smallest point of light has a huge impact on your life as it catches your attention and thus becomes a guiding light.

“You too, dear one, are a God-sent light to help others find joy and comfort in their own lives. And you, too, are surrounded with many lights that are made to shine by your brothers and sisters beckoning you to join them in new territories of their human/divine experience.”

As it is, people may deign to not listen to what I say – and they don’t have to, do they? - what makes you think people have to listen to you? What I say is Truth. What you say may be opinion, or it could be Truth, yet who asked you for your opinion or even Truth? You are not the superintendent over other people’s lives, no matter how well-intentioned you may be.

Wait until someone asks, or when it’s your place as with your growing children or a long-time friend who is open to what you think or when someone impinges on your life in some way. Then you uphold your rights by speaking up. You have to speak up. You may find you are not heard, yet it is for you to speak.

There are varieties of circumstances wherein it is your responsibility to speak up, even to a stranger. You could rightfully yell at a stranger who isn’t paying attention and is walking right into a car that is backing out and the driver isn’t paying attention either. You would do well to stop a man from beating his horse. It is not always clear-cut when you must, yet sometimes it is.

There is a big difference between giving advice when it is asked for and rushing in where you have not been invited. Be cautious about intruding on others’ lives.

Someone who encroaches on another’s life is often referred to as a busybody, a do-gooder. In any case, you will not be thanked. Even when you are asked, and your response differs from the one your neighbor wants to hear, you may not be thanked, for, often what your neighbor may want is your agreement and not your opinion.

In any case, beloveds, you do not know more about how to live someone else’s life than they do. You don’t know about the course and purpose of others’ lives any more than you know yours. You may love to go to church every Sunday and you feel strongly that everyone should go to church, in particular, to your church, even when someone you care about never goes. There is a line for you to not step over.

You may be a meat-eater or a vegetarian. You believe as you believe with all your heart. Beloveds, if I can give freedom of choice, so must you allow others to live their lives as they choose whatever you may think of it.

Wars have arisen from the idea that others should live as you do. Was that ever right? Styles of living change. There are phases, yet you are not a soothsayer who knows all and has the right to say. All the rules of the world relax at some point. All of life in the world is change. What woman still wears a corset these days? Once upon a time, every lady did. You get the idea. Stay out of other people’s business unless it is truly your place to speak and not your sense of propriety and self-righteousness urging you.

No one should speed or drink and drive. Everyone knows this is the safe sensible way. There is no one who hasn’t heard this before. Policemen have been given the right to interfere. Even then, fines or jail don’t stop many people from speeding again. Beloveds, why would you imagine that it is your obligation to give your well-meaning advice and, further, to believe that your advice ought to be adhered to?

How to Cultivate Right Thinking
Every thought has an image, form, dimension, weight, shape, colour, etc. Thought is as much matter as a piece of stone. A table is a mental image plus some external something. Whatever you see outside has a counterpart in the mind. The pupil is a small round thing in the eye and the retina is another small structure in the eye. How is it that the image of a big mountain, seen through that small aperture, is cast onto the mind? How does the big form of the mountain enter a tiny hole in the eye? This is a marvel of marvels. The image of the mountain already exists in the mind. The mind is like a big, vast sheet of canvas cloth that contains all the pictures of the objects seen outside.
Thought moves and passes from one man to another. Thought readily influences people. A man with strong thoughts can readily influence people with weak thought. Telepathy is a branch of occult science wherein the yogi can transmit messages to any man in any part of the world.
A thought of anger or hatred sends arrows from the mental factory towards the person aimed at. It harms the individual, sets up discord and disharmony in the thought world and comes back again to the sender and harms him also. If one can understand the effect and power of thought, he will be more careful in the manufacture of his thoughts in his mental laboratory.
Develop the faculty of producing only satvic (pure) thoughts by protracted mental discipline, dietetic adjustments, repetition of good hymns with meaning, good company, the study of divine books, japa (repetition of God's name), meditation, pranayama (yoga breathing), prayer, etc. A good man can help his friend, even though he lives a long way away, by good thoughts alone. Do not allow evil thoughts to enter your mental factory. Always watch your thoughts. Avoid useless thinking. Conserve your mental energy.
To cultivate sublime thoughts always keep yourself occupied in doing virtuous deeds and in the study of religious books. Destroy random thinking. Think of only one subject and its different aspects. When you do this never allow any other thought to enter the conscious mind. Again and again withdraw the mind to the subject on hand. Then take up another thought when you have exhausted the previous one.
By this practice you will develop organised thinking. The mental images will gain intense strength and force; they will become clear cut and well defined. In ordinary persons the mental images are undefined.
