Let go of all efforts, searches and desires, for He can be felt only in deep peace and stillness.

Heavenletter #5119 Enough , November 30, 2014

God said:

To those of you who do not seem to get enough rest, and you’ve tried everything, well, then, never mind about it. Drink your green tea, pinch yourself, be awake and have the idea that you are getting enough rest. No longer say: “Oh, I’m so tired. I don’t get enough sleep, etc.”

Give yourself some better propaganda.

Rest and appetite are not all they are cracked up to be. You can eat and eat when you have already had enough. You can crave sleep in the same way. Consider need for sleep as an appetite. You know very well that if you found out you won a big lottery today, you would be quite alert and wide wide awake!

What you tell yourself is important. Don’t turn yourself into an insomniac. Nothing is for you to make a big deal of.

You are well aware that I am all for your getting enough sleep. It is possible that you don’t really know what is enough for you at any given time. In any case, you don’t want to convince yourself that you are lacking anything. You have the resources within you to be fine. So be fine. Declare it. Own it. Let yourself know that you are doing well and rising above everything, even what the world might call not enough sleep.

Figures are arbitrary. They mean what you say they mean. With or without sleep, you are doing well. Remind yourself that you are not your body. You are ever so much more.

You may have the idea that you have either too much of something or not enough. I would like you to have the idea that you are just right! It is perfectly okay to want more, and it’s not okay to convince yourself that you are in need.

You want an image of yourself that spreads good cheer.

If you are not pleased with yourself, who is going to be? Have a healthy outlook about yourself. Have the idea that you are not deprived of anything.

Of course, at the same time, I tell you to get enough rest. Of course, I want you to sleep and to sleep well. However, it is not your mission in life to get an exact amount of sleep. Do well with what you have. Have you not made it this far?

Respect sleep. Respect your sleep and the sleep of others. Sleep is a great gift. What a great thing sleep is! What a great idea! How did I think of sleep and create it? It is a basic need, yet do not over-endow sleep. Do not over-endow anything. Do not exaggerate. Do not ration yourself quite so much. If you sleep a lot one night, fine. If you sleep little one night, well, you slept little one night. All is right with the world regardless.

You are not to live life as if you are without and have to have.

Do not believe all the advertisements that embrace the assumption that you are needful. You don’t have to endorse everything that comes around on the turnpike of life. You don’t have to buy it. You don’t have to give in to others’ beliefs and desires as if they are Truth standing right before you.

I sell you one thing, and that is love, variously called Oneness and Wholeness. You well know you can’t buy love. Love is your birthright. It follows you all your days, and you give love to the world and all those who are near or far. Beloveds, let it be known that there is no far away. Everyone is as close to you as I am, and I am deep in your heart.

Perfect Renunciation
Vedanta does not want you to renounce the world. It wants you to change your mental attitude and give up this false, illusory 'I-ness' and 'mine-ness'. The snake charmer removes only the two poisonous fangs of the cobra. The snake remains the same. It hisses, raises its hood and shows its fangs. In fact, it does everything as before. The snake charmer has changed his mental attitude towards the snake. He has a feeling now that it has no poisonous fangs. Even so, you must remove the two poisonous fangs of the mind, namely, 'I-ness' and 'mine-ness' only. Then you can allow the mind to go wherever it likes. Then you will always have the feeling of the presence of God.
You must also renounce the attachment to renunciation, which is very deep-rooted. You must renounce the idea: "I have renounced everything; I am a great renunciate". This attachment of aspirants is a greater evil than that of the householders: "I am a landlord; I am a brahmana, etc."
Not by shaving the head, not by dress, not by egoistic action is liberation to be attained. He who possesses wisdom is a real sanyasin (monk). Wisdom is the sign of a sanyasin. The wooden staff does not make a sanyasin. He is the real sanyasin of wisdom who is conscious of his absolute nature even in his dreams just as he is during the waking period. He is the greatest knower of Brahman. He is the greatest of sanyasins.

Perfect renunciation is born of discrimination. Dispassion should not be mild and half-hearted. It should be a burning flame of disgust for everything that is seen and that is not seen. Nothing but the state of final liberation is to be the ideal for attainment. There should be no desire for wife, husband, children and worldly activity. The aspirant must be encircled by the fence of dispassion on all sides.
Action is for the man of the world, the wisdom is for the sanyasin who has risen above worldliness. Only the man of renunciation with knowledge attains Brahman, and none else. Without perfect renunciation, it is impossible to pursue the path of the knowledge of Brahman.

Thought Adjuster.
Subject: “A Lesson About Progress.”

Received by Oscar.

Thought Adjuster: “Impatience has no place in the life of those who know the Father. Have you forgotten that the time of the Father is eternity? No deadline has been set for you to complete certain goals. You have an eternity to do it in.

“Many behaviors and habits exhibited by humans take years to develop, and similarly it will take some time to get rid of them. The constant desire to be better and putting your heart and your mind in the hands of the Father to be transformed, greatly increases the speed of the process of going from being a simple mortal to a more spiritual being with the potential for eternal life. Perhaps you may judge your progress as insignificant, particularly under the lens of your expectations and illusions, so often confused and unrealistic. It is in those moments that a little reversion can help put things in perspective. Remember all the things you have overcome and don’t focus too much on what still remains. At this stage of your existence the list of things you need to master is beyond the capacity of your imagination. There are things that have never crossed your mind, or the mind of your siblings, that you will need to learn and master on your path to perfection. This is not important now. What is paramount is that you keep the forward momentum, even when it seems that your are not advancing, but only preventing yourself from regressing. Sometimes you would have to go back and revisit a lesson you thought you had learned.

“Know that you are not responsible for the learning curricula. Others perform this service for you, at least during this stage. Sometimes you will feel that there is something you need to learn, but in general mortals happily ignore their defects and the adjustments they have to make before moving to the next level of existence. This is why there are a lot of celestials involved in your progress and your improvement. We are appreciative of this, and consider ourselves fortunate to be able to serve in this fashion.

“Search for the Father. Search for the spiritual realities and the impulse to move forward will stay fresh in your heart. The error is not to take the wrong path, the error is to stop walking, because even when you face unexpected situations, or when you get in trouble, you could learn, grow and become more and more real.

“How boring life would be if you knew everything that were to happen! The journey is one of surprises and adventure, those experiences that are desired by your soul since the Thought Adjuster is constantly promoting a desire for exploration. In truth, life is perfect. Perhaps you will not get all the experiences you desire, but you will get exactly what you need to be better, and to experience the joy of progressively becoming more like God, overcoming fear and becoming of more value to creation.”

Seven Super Supplements to reverse Aging

A brain-healthy, Alzheimer’s-fighting diet has properties that extend far beyond just decreasing your daily carb load. To truly provide your body with brain-boosting nutrients and vitamins that help stave off brain disease and other illnesses, you should consider a regular regimen of supplements. These seven supplements will go a long way towards helping you with prevention:

  1. DHA: An omega-3 fatty acid that represents more than 50% of the omega-3 fatty acids in the brain. Numerous studies link high levels of DHA with a decreased risk for dementia, Alzheimer’s and other brain diseases . Look to take in about 1,000mg/day.
  2. Resveratrol:  you can thank this natural compound which slows down the aging process, boosts blood flow to the brain, and promotes heart health. In addition to the role it plays in stimulating brain function, resveratrol is also a key ally of our body’s immune system. Target 100mg twice daily.
  3. Turmeric:  Turmeric is well known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. We can thank turmeric for protecting our mitochondria (thanks to its role in stimulating antioxidant properties), and it also improves glucose metabolism — both of which are essential for reducing one’s risk for brain disease. Try to get 350 mg twice daily.
  4. Probiotics: Research conducted in just the last few years has started to conclude that eating food rich in probiotics can influence brain behavior, and may modulate the effects of stress, anxiety, and depression.  Ideally, get your probiotics through a supplement that contains at least 10 billion active cultures from at least ten different strains, including lactobaccilus acidophilusand bifidobacterium.
  5. Coconut Oil: If you follow this blog, you know I am a big fan of coconut oil and probably know why it’s an important part of our diet. Go for at least 1-2 tablespoons of an organic variety daily.
  6. Alpha-lipoic Acid: Alpha-lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that works to protect brain and nerve tissue. Look to get 600 mg/day.
  7. Vitamin D: I can’t say enough about the importance of Vitamin D, and that’s why I devote five pages to it in Grain Brain. It’s ideal to start with 5,000 units of Vitamin D3 daily, get tested after three months, and adjust accordingly.

As with any dietary/health changes, these are suggested guidelines only, and you should consult with your physician before making any changes to, or beginning, a supplement plan.
