#5105 You Would Lead Your Life Differently Now, November

said: Your life is where you are. You
take yourself with you wherever you go. You, yourself, are the sum total of your life. Your consciousness is what your life
is about. Your awareness and vision – your life is about these. Certainly, what occurs in life affects you, yet you
are the decider of how it affects you. Your life is about you, and how you respond to what occurs. Therefore, I say that your
life is all about you.
Your life isn’t dependent upon what happens to you. Your life depends upon how you
see what happens, for as you perceive, you respond. You draw the pictures of your life by the conclusions you draw. The conclusions
you draw are the assumptions you make. It is not unheard of for you to conclude something that is not true. You made one thing
of it when you could have made something else of it.
Your understanding is not infallible. You are the chef of
your thoughts and reactions. You base your recipes for life on your construing of the facts.
This is only one
good reason why it is better for you to refrain from judging. The story of your life is your putting two and two together,
and it is easy to be mistaken. If you would deal differently with an earlier situation now, then you know you have seen amiss.
Of course, you would lead your life differently now. You are a human being who learns and grows. No matter how you convince
yourself at the time how right you are, the angle of light you look from changes.
Noting this change is all to
the good. This is how you can see your growth.
You, too, have also been misunderstood and misjudged. This is
a failing of judgment. Refrain from judgment, for how harshly you deal with others reveals how harshly you deal with yourself.
How you judge others is exactly how you judge yourself. Better to have no misgivings in the first place.
Even
the best have misjudged. Judgment is poor judgment. You don’t have all the facts. You may have none of them. Judge another,
and you may uplift your ego at the expense of another. Many have judged others and themselves guilty to their regret.
Eschew
judgment altogether. Get out of the fray of judgment. Judgment promulgates a battlefield. Judgment twists things. There are
matters in life that are better to refrain from. Get out from under. Don’t be so quick to judge. It is easy to judge.
It is rash. To judge is often to misjudge. What would you spend your time judging for anyway? Oh, yes, there is free speech.
There is also the blessing of freedom from judgment. If you are unable to order your thoughts around, you can at least close
your mouth. Tut-tutting about someone else is gossip. If gossip were nutrition, you would know to avoid it.
Do
unto others as you do to yourself – that is exactly how it is done. Don’t do unto others as you do to yourself,
for you do not always do well to yourself, to that individual that you perceive as yourself. Better to be humble than high
and mighty. Anyone can be high and mighty. Not everyone can be humble and glad to be humble. Being humble is a reverence for
Truth. The more you truly believe in yourself, the more humble you are. When you do not have to aggrandize yourself, when
you don’t have to crow over yourself, when you can accept the Oneness of All Creation, then you would leave well enough
alone and no longer criticize. Yes, criticism is judgment. It is one thing to point out a spelling error. It is another to
conclude that poor spellers are not as wonderful human beings as good spellers are. Better to be a poor speller and not judge.

and the senses and the mind. You are the master of your life. All power is within you. You have to know this and manifest
it. How can the mind torment
you? How can despair overcome you? Despair is a quality of the mind and the mind is your servant. You are all bliss, all light,
all strength, all knowledge. You are divinity. You are above and beyond both body and mind. You are immortal - satchidananda
(existence - knowledge - bliss absolute). The important thing to know clearly is that you are not the slave of the mind and the senses. You have got into the
habit of thinking that their craving is your craving. Now get out of this habit, by constantly reminding yourself that you
have nothing to do with the mischievous mind and senses. Remember constantly that you are not this perishable body. You are not this perishable, changing
mind. You are the all-pervading consciousness. You are the eternal seer. You are the eternal witness. Therefore be ever free
and blissful. Intensify your
spiritual life. Seek the light of vedanta. Be a flame of the light of the Upanishads. Ever meditate on: "I am the immortal,
all-pervading Brahman." Om is the bow, the soul is the arrow and Brahman is the target. When you realise the effulgent Supreme Being you shake off all
evil and attain the supreme stainless unity. Devote yourself to the holy quest of truth. Devote yourself to the discovery
of the ultimate spiritual essence that is all-pervading and interpenetrating. - - - Withdraw the senses. Look within and search your heart. Dive deep into the recesses
of your heart, through deep meditation on the innermost self, the inner ruler. You will doubtless realize your identity with
Brahman and get to the heart of the infinite - the heart of infinite joy and bliss. |

The Beloved One: “Dear one, allow Me
to voice My thoughts on privilege. Few humans as yet realize that although life is a gift to be enjoyed, it also is a privilege
to give back to the Creator what is really His to begin with. The Creator generously bestows upon each creature a most valuable
gift – that of life itself – and yet there are countless people who do not think twice about taking their own
life or someone else’s life. With this deed they do not only deny themselves to live life to the fullest to become what
the Creator intended them to be, but they also deny another person that right. No one has the right or the privilege to take
what is not theirs.
The taking of a life is something that belongs
in the ‘book of yesteryear’. It is time for humanity to come to grips with the concept of mine and thine, and
fully understand the difference. It goes without saying that even the character trait of honesty is a privilege to be cultivated.
We are speaking here of the greater values in life – honesty with the self and with all others. Each human being is
valued beyond measure as a unique masterpiece. You cannot of yourselves take away anything God has given you without overstepping
your boundaries by taking, or doing away with, that which is not rightfully yours to take or do away with. This is something
which needs to be clearly understood. It is part of being sincere and honest.
“These matters will be further elucidated in the next (morontia) life. It will be a privilege for you to learn
all the joys that are in store for you. But to gain access to these, it is required of you that you make gains in sincerity
and more sincerity. Eventually there will not be a shadow of insincerity found in you, because you are then on the way to
become more mature in your being-ness. This needs to also be understood. You will earn the privilege of becoming a fully-fledged
spirit. This is the way and the truth of growing up, into that which is your privilege to become. For a long, long time, you
will be a work in progress, always being on the look-out for where you can improve in character. It is a foregone conclusion
in the mind of God, that once you start out to seek, and do His will, that you have started upon the road everlasting and
in the mind of God, it is then already a fait accompli that you shall be perfect, never mind the intervening ages in between.
“The sooner you realize what a great gift in living life and what a great opportunity you have
been given in this ascension plan to become perfect even as the Father on Paradise is perfect, the sooner you will accept
each day as a gift and as the privilege to live to the best of your knowledge and capability. In time, as you sharpen your
senses and notice how far you still have to go towards that perfection, do not become discouraged, for it will be the eternal
hope, being kept alive in the human breast, which will keep you going. Remember also, you are never bereft of celestial assistance
and heaven’s help in the form of the Spirit of Truth, which has been so generously and freely bestowed upon all normal
