“Evolutionary Progress” (shortened transmission).

George: “A
time may well arrive when you introduce yourself as the Damascus Scribe and folks will enquire as to where Damascus could
possible be in that place of all desert, ruin and radioactivity.”
The
Scribe: “My views are well known about the approaching signs of
all-out warfare, for they are on a par with the feelings of the Creator-Father from whose bosom I hail. At this time we are
contemplating some universal laws and rules of celestial behavior that do not quite measure up to the regulations as portrayed
in the Urantia Papers. It must be understood that during the mid-1980s a dispensation did come about. However, certain seeming
exceptions to universal laws have a long, long history of occurring and recurring.
“Apart
from your having more freedom in your communication between planets since this new minor dispensation, there were always the
events you may call potential disturbances to the “Flow of Life” — those events foreseen to have a likely
long-term negative effect upon human progress on the evolutionary worlds. Direct action may be taken and human actors may
be directed to alter an otherwise unprofitable outcome. Always bear in mind that the Creator-Father runs all worlds.
“Since the 1980s there has certainly been a great deal more freedom—
especially in communication. And yet the majority of these events have been standard exceptions to primary rules of which
you had no awareness. The unusual experience that was brought to your attention may well have its basis in the (Progress list)
subscriber’s personal needs — important advice for her future or safety. The information could have been a reward
of a kind, something she deserved. Perhaps someone near her needed it. It happens.
“Perhaps
the ‘Flow of Life’ and a great number of outcomes needed to be ‘made safe’ — for future events
to unfold as needed. Possibly your subscriber is rather fearless, has an open mind and likely will become a great helper to
her Guardians. And, my friend, perhaps there was a combination of these needs and/or opportunities that were to be achieved.
There is little in this world that can be said to be a random occurrence, for all is foreknown and anything at all can be
tweaked to suit the “Flow of Life.”
“A welcome 1980s
dispensation, though minor, brought you some changes that made your Urantia Book a tiny little bit outdated. It did not make
it wrong. Oh no — just not quite up to date, because of these new inter-planetary freedoms to be experienced and myriad
previously unreported minor universe rules and laws.
“I am the Damascus Scribe who leaves you his love.”

Heavenletter #5086 In a Garden, October 28, 2014 God
said: All good is on its way to you.
Are you ready to receive? This is the question I ask you.
You say: “You bet, God, I am ready to receive.
Bring it on.”
Even so, you may have some attachment to having something to find fault with. Some attachment
perhaps to being wronged and put upon. You are so accustomed to your life being a battle fought on all fronts. The fists of
your mind are ready and waiting for a fight. You have your dukes up. What is the tenseness you carry with you but readiness
to fight? What is tenseness but that? And what good does this tension-producing readiness do for you?
Have the
idea that you do not need to defend yourself. Let go of need to defend in the same way you let go of need to offend. You don’t
need either.
What if you could live in a friendly world that wants you here and wants to treat you well? If you
would put your dukes down, you would come to see this as so. Let down your barriers. Tenseness is not your friend. You don’t
need its protection. Tenseness does not protect you anyway. It rattles you, it makes you nervous. Put down your arms. Tenseness
isn’t giving you much help anyway, is it? It does you no good. It keeps you in restraints.
If you want
to relax, let go of any perceived need to be tense, and you will know relaxation. Take a vacation from tenseness. Be done
with it. Why would you keep it? Don’t be a hoarder. Let go of all that doesn’t serve you or the Kingdom.
Withdraw
from battle. Declare a truce. Loosen your tie, and loosen your blood vessels. Loosen your heart, and make space for your recognition
of Truth which is the peace that beats all.
Come from peace, and you will see a new world, one in which you do
not have to prove your bravery.
Let life be a piece of cake. How you look at life influences it. Let go of tension,
and you are ready for joy to take over. Tension is tightening. Joy is loosening. You choose.
Fear does not belong
to you. It is a hanger-on. Fear is a wastrel. Get rid of it. Just don’t have it. Fear does not have to do its will with
you. Let My Will prevail. Fear gives you sucker punches. Fear cannot be trusted. Fear is like the big guy who bullies you,
unnerves you, knocks you off your feet and makes the ground tremble under you. You can trust fear to do its number on you
-- you can trust fear for that all right.
Best to ignore fear that repeats and repeats itself yet is always finding
new forms of itself to toss at you. Fear is not wise. It is foolhardy. Fear upholds itself, not you. Fear is a scoundrel.
Send him off, and you will relax. To be free of fear is like a full-spa treatment. You can do very well without fear and its
companions, anxiety and worry. Let them go. Without them, with the absence of these niggling pests, you are renewed. We can
call this urban renewal. Well-done, My friends. Well-done.
No longer think of life as a challenge that you have
to be ready for.
Think of life as an eddying pool in which you rest. Rest on your back, or in a canoe. You can
paddle now and then as you like, and yet be laid-back. Where can despair take hold when you live life like as it is meant
to be lived? Perhaps you will come to find yourself in a garden, in the Garden of Eden.

29 October Posted: 27 Oct 2014 10:00 PM PDT Brahman and Maya Like the pot and clay, waves and the sea, ornaments of silver and gold, the universe
is non-different from Brahman. The cause does not lose its being by appearing as the effect. The world is not an illusion,
but it is non-different from Brahman. Like heat is inseparable from fire and identical with it, so the universe which
is of the nature of Brahman is identical with it. The world is dependent on Brahman and independently the world is nothing. The play of chit (consciousness) alone shines
as this universe. The universe was, is and always will be. There is no beginning or end to creation. Behind the impermanent material world there is the invisible source
of all things, pure, unchanging spirit or Atman. In the presence of God, maya (illusion) creates the world, even as in the
presence of the superior officer, the subordinates do their work. Just as a carpenter cannot work without the instruments,
and the instruments themselves also cannot do any work without the carpenter, so also, Ishvara (God) cannot create the world
without maya, nor can maya create the world without Ishvara. This world is an overflow of the love of God. This is the view of a bhakta (devotee). This world
is an overflow of the bliss of Brahman. This is the view of a vedantin or sage. Love and bliss are one; God and Brahman are
one. This world is nothing but the expression of God's love for Himself. This world is an expression or manifestation of God.
It is the outcome of the spontaneous play of love and joy. God expands Himself and manifests as the world. Atmic sankalpa (the will of the self) makes this
universe shine and constitutes it. Every object is surcharged with divine significance. Everything in this world has got a
spiritual message to convey. Learn from everything. All is Brahman. When this truth is intellectually recognised and intuitively
realised, then all feelings of differences end forever.  |
