am near you, and I am patient, but shall we now begin? To look ahead in time is important for a human being. It
is for the artist, who has a plain canvas in his hands, and he must see in his mind that which he will draw, that which he
will paint. It is important for a potter to look at a ball of clay and in her mind see the final stoneware piece that
she is going to create. And so, it is in your life that you must look ahead and plan for the things you will do, and
as you do so, I will make you this promise; that wherever you will turn up in the local universe, and for all times beyond,
should you wish me to be your Teacher, it shall be so. I am the Damascus Scribe, and it is for me a pleasure to be with
you here this evening. Take a short break now, consider, and then we shall begin.” We now discussed the Scribe’s generous offer at length, and of
course accepted Him as our permanent Teacher. The Damascus Scribe: “For
many on your planet life after life is considered to become eternal rest, but that is hardly the case. The universes,
seen and unseen by you, are beehives of activity. And they are those that hail from a world such as Urantia, where great
difficulties must be overcome, where great personal deficiencies may need to be corrected, and for those who managed to do
so, to a greater degree, magnificent opportunities will come about. When new organizations in the giant outer space
universes are needed, that is where in time you will excel, truly, over and above those who were created perfect, but lack
in experience. “And now I give you a little detail about the Local Universe Creator
Sons and the task they must achieve. The last of all their missions is to arrive on one of their worlds as an ordinary
human baby, and live out their lives in experiential service to the Creator of All. “Their human lives are always designed to succeed, and this is
fairly so. Many Celestial personalities, like Life Carriers, are involved in the selection of the genetically appropriate
parentage. Much is decided about the environment in which the child will grow up, and extreme care is taken by Midwayers
and others that this individual will see through their human lifetime with success. “It would hardly do for a Creator Son living on one of His worlds
to fail at His task, and indeed, one of the most experienced Thought Adjusters is appointed to indwell Him. That was
my task, and it is therefore that I have taken for myself, among a number of different names, the title of ‘The Damascus
Scribe’, as it was in that locality where I aided the Master in His communications to the greatest extent. “This, for now, is the limit to the information I am prepared to
give you. I trust this will answer the question asked of you. I thank you for your time and your attention.
We shall meet up again, sometime soon.” George: “Thank
